Hi Guys!
I'm back now! So, went over to Dave's last night to crack on. He has now made the oil return pipe, (no pics) which means we have everything plumbed in for the turbo..
In the meantime, I bought some new tailpipes, same size and shape (3" inwardly rolled) as we were going to chop the lexmaul ones off (as the actual hole in the middle was only 1") and weld these on... turns out the silencer drops down to 2" and this wont do...
tailpipes:
mwuhahaha!
So, the long and short of that, new exhaust, will utilise current centre section, but add a centre silencer, the two straight pipes coming out the back.
Also, made more progress with the throttle pedal. Dave has adapted it to sit closer to the brake pedal, for improved heel/ toe action. also removed all the electric trickery so just need to add the cable now
collected a load of pipes today for the exhaust and new boost pipes! Pics to follow..

Made more progress on the Corsa last night...
Following what I was saying about the exhaust being restrictive, we set to work making a new backbox... The plan is, no rear silencer, but just a centre silencer
So, cut Dave's Corrado exhaust to pieces and use his rear silencer, welded that into my centre section:
Then, set about making the new backbox... I was adamant I wanted the same look so bought some 3" inwardly rolled taipipes off ebay.. But we wanted to ensure, the system has no restrictions, or horrid Y pieces... so!:
inside:
tailpipes going on:
the came the polava of making sure it matches up to the centre section... lots of tacking, cutting, twisting, more tacking and voila!
comparison:
just need to finish welding it up, and add the hangers

Could well be, either way, it had one silencer, and still has a silencer, plus the turbo will be a restriction so add to the quietness... we'll see!
The new centre silencer is a true 2.5" race silencer which is repackable...

SO, went down the yard yesterday and Dave and I made some more progress:
My new hoses arrived:
how the air filter will sit:
new adaptor bracket for VR6 throttle body - thanks Dave!
throttle body fitted - clearances are perfect - it actually fits so well, as the inlet of the dBilas inlet is 3", same as the throttle body
no photos, but also did more work on the pedal, got the bracket welded up to take the cable, hole drilled in bulkhead, just got to make the cable stop on the throttle body then thats that bit done!
Oh, and custom Pro Alloy intercooler on the way :ninja:

Progress time - yes progress is slow, but when you can only get 2 hours in, of an evening, its surprising how quickly time flies!
Pedal is all finished - please note welds have been smoothed and pedal currently in primer...
The top of the throttle body has been cut and smoothed..
Before:
after:
Cable is fitted, and cable stop has been made (also now in primer)
thats another milestone done!
Need to order some injectors... BIG ones...

No that anyone has paid too much interest, but this will give you an idea of the lengths I'm going to...
So, I have a few photos now...
Last night I drilled the holes so the new bosses can be welded, no photos, but the last of the ali welding is being done today, which means I'll have a pile of parts for powder coating...
This is what we did with the block, you can the the cut out, this is for the 4 way adapter - you can see that Dave is rather skilled with the angle grinder... also de-stressed the block at the same time..
from above:
Dave started on the first cylinder last night, and the adapter fits really nicely - this has a spring loaded pressure banjo inside...
