Right, well over due an update!

Soooo, had a mojor list of stuff I wanted done for Edition38, got the majority of the stuff done, some plans changed, few were discarded.

So was in the bodyshop for smoothing the plate recess on the bumper, painting the front end, drivers door, rear quarter and rear bumper, was also getting the rub strips and handles colour coded. But there was a problem with the paint and I ended getting everything but the roof painted.

I got some 17" Audi TT 6Spoke wheels refurb'ed and painted in gloss black with a red glitter in the lacquer.

I fitted some Polo GTi 9N3 sideskirts (badly), they are the right length, just not the right shape, fitting them in the dark the day before the show doesn't help either!

Then there was just some tidying up bits, painted the battery cover, repainted the interior trim bits, recovered the false floor, painted the headlining and trims.

I will give it a clean over the next few days and get some more pics.

POW -what cupra grills?

Lee - yeah if your at the right angle they just explode!

They are polo gti skirts, I wouldn't recommend getting them, they are the wrong shape the the sills. Need to do some manipulations I think, probably involving a heat gun!

Not much camber wear at all really, as it doesn't have much camber. I have cupra and powerflex bushes so the camber is nearer the factory setting.

I can't go any lower on the front as it is because I get fairly scrubbage as it is, although hopefully a certain 'god' in the VAG scene may be working his magic on my arches when I go to uni

That's a facelift bumper, completely different.

Simon - quicker response time, when you boot it there is no 'lag' time.

Ahh i see, might looking into that too. Do the facelift upper grills not fit into the pre-facelift?

Yeah they will fit, but it would be the only honeycombe bit on the car. I am in 2 minds about making some custom grills, one for the centre, so the slats are vertical, and some to delete the fogs, and have the slats continue to the end of the cutout

cars looking pretty good must say, i think you should go ahead with the custom centre grille (make the slats vertical) as for the bottom grill i think it looks pretty good as it is, taking the fogs out will make it more poverty spec IMO

Map from Awesome is awesome! Completely different car now!

Picked a whiteline ARB up from them too for good measure, waiting on a badgeless grill to arrive to try out too.

Changes are going to be a fair bit slower now, as I've started uni, so actually have some outgoings! Have still got big plans though, will probably happen over/after holidays when I can get loads of work in to earn some moneys
