Oh Dave, I meant to say. If the blower won't be on the cards for a while, a nice little upgrade path for not too much dough is a K&N filter, an Accufab throttle body and the X-Power back boxes.
I think Dreadnought are in the process of developing a pair of race/sport cats for them too.

My next door neighbour had the V6 version and now hes got the diesel(BMW engine iirc) version Rover 75.
Loves it,said the V6 drank the fuel but the derv is amazing. He was changing the alternator the other day and it was a bit of a cunt to do.

The ordinary ones are very pleasant every day drivers and comfy too.
For bad fuel economy though, the fella really needs to experience a V8 one.
You can almost watch the needle drop.

I'm on the look out for a panel filter and I'm going to long life for a system to be made.. Cat back for less than the price of the x-power back boxes

The filter is a bit of an arse to change as it's a large conical one hidden in the off-side corner of the front bumper.
Bargain on the exhaust. I'm not familiar with them. Have you heard any good reports?

Glad to hear somebody else will be going to Longlife! I've just been talking to them the last couple of days for a system for the XE - seems to be very good price and hopefully better workmanship than the likes of Powerflow

Longlife are a franchise company like Powerflow and even use the same boxes as powerflow systems. Pretty sure of it. Hit and miss I think?

No doubt it will sound great freeing up the V8 but I would always feel that the generic boxes used by Powerflow/Longlife will comprise the system.
Proper made systems like the X power ones are developed rather than just boshed together with generic boxes and sound deadening.
I'm just being picky I do keep forgetting what a bargain this car was

The factory exhaust is very good and very free flowing.
The only parts one would normally change are the back boxes as these are the only silencers in the system.
The X-Power units are beautifully made and have a high Nickel content so retain their finish well Dave.
They sound hilarious too.
Proper crackly sounding when cold.
We bought two pairs.

Still loving the car! I think I've broken the shitty Hydratrak LSD though
I got a quote from long life for £270 for the rear boxes but I'm building a new XC bike at the moment and that is taking most of my spare cash
And I STILL havent made a video!
Got my HAVOC plate on now though

Good grief!!:doyle:
£400odd tax is a sore one, esspecially as I could probably convert it into pounds per go that I actually get the pleasure of driving my car. But I refuse to be bullied by some suited fat fuck mp or unemployed tree warrior....fuck them!!
