Been busy recently, some of still WIP so no pictures yet.
Changed the oil again as I had a bastard of a leak, which I thought was coming from the drain plug seal, but after a new plug and seal its still leaking, think its the sump gasket
Fitted my precat (Finally!), nice difference with it fitted. Wouldnt seal properly with the brand new, £10 gasket, removed it and it was sweet as a nut, waste of money
Also got my magnex exhaust from shep, very nice indeed, shall be fitting it in the next week or so.
Todays job was to fit the FMIC, which was a right twat of a job, but its on now, slight boost leak somewhere, and the bumper & foglights are going to need serious cutting to get the bumper on properly.
Pics soon!

Took the intercooler off yesterday and started again, got it all sealed up nicely this time. Need to get the radiator moved back though, as the bumper is tight to the boost pipes, and I have no fogs in atm. VXR bottom radiator mounts are on the way to get it radiator shifted back
Pics:
Its sitting off centre atm, I cant get it any more over to the right atm as the boost pipes are hitting the radiator, once its moved back I should get it centred
Still have the exhaust I bought off shep to fit:
Going to be trimming required methinks!
Also still have to get the RARB on, busy busy!

Fmic looks good, really cant afford one just now unless the world cup gives me good odds lol whats the pipework fitting like? Looks quite easy, the only problem i think i would have would be hooking up the slim lines as im not a wire person.

Pipework isnt too bad, biggest pain in the arse is the radiator being in the way, I read on several threads on AOC that it would be fine on the prodrive bumper, but it seems not.
Fans are dead easy to fit, just cut the wires from the back of the old fan motor, and connect to the new fans.

Finally got my arse in gear and got the RARB on, was nice and easy in the end, had to use some proper ghetto ramps though
So now this overpriced bit of metal is on:
And my, what a difference. Believe the hype, they are spot on.
Got this to fit now:
Shall be putting that on Friday methinks
Also got all the gear to get the car mapped to stage 1, shall do it once the exhaust is on.

For handling yes, absolutly no roll in the corners, the resale on these is good too if you sell up.

Made a start on fitting the new exhaust today, its a bit larger diameter than the old one, shall have to measure both to see the difference.
Had a bit of a problem though, bolts holding the centre section to the cat snapped in the cat, so will pop down to the garage after lunch and get some acetylene on it, see if I can get the studs out. If not ill just drill them out and put a nut and bolt through it, but then I would be wasting the £14 i spent on the two new GM bolts I got for it!
Pics:
Old exhaust, plus the cat:
Broken
And the new system on, just waiting to get bolted up to the cat
Going to need a small amount of trimming on the bumper extension, which I didnt want to do, but ill try and keep it as neat as possible.

Bastard cat bolts.

Jesus fuck, it sounds like world war 3
Finally got it on after lots of acetylene, welding nuts on etc to get the old studs removed. Then found that the threads were pretty fucked, so ended up drilling them out and just using a nut and bolt setup, much easier.
Thought it was blowing when I first started it up, what a difference in noise!
Love the backfires too on gear changes, real VXR-esque note

Nice one, glad your happy with it mate.
Get rid of that other cat though, it sounds much better without it, far sharper and crisp.
