S-Type 4.0 V8.

My uncle has the 3.0 V6 variant, takes a few seconds to get going but it shifts when you plonk your foot down

My old man used to have one of these, suppose it's a bit different and possibly newer than some of what's been posted in here but not that quick.

Thanks for all your posts so far, quite a few things to look into and consider.

Eck would it cost much to get a T5 to 300bhp? I dont want to go OTT on mods.

the XJR is very tempting but will i get one for 4k that doesnt have a million things wrong with it?

X type & S type look sensible barge options and im loving the Jag touch of class bit grandpa image.

Im worried if i get anything like a Legnum or Legacy ill either drive like a loon making dump valve noises with my mouth or actually fit an HKS SSQV

Again with the AMG mercs will a 4k one be a complete shitter?

The other japanese offerings not really tempting me tbh.

I'd have said any E39 BMW with a V8. Apparently their handling isn't so good in SE guise because the steering rack is different due to the heavy V8. Try and get a de-chromed SE with larger alloys and M Sport suspension

EDIT:

De-chromed, slightly better alloys.

dont know if it was a duff one seth, but my old boss had a 540i auto, and i was easily pulling on it in my s2k - bearing in mind s2k is not supercar fast, i was abit disappointed by the beemer tbh.
