I'm pretty sure metal doesn't spring back.

looks like enough damage to warrant the injuries.
when i had my accident the nurse said you can be doing 10mph and get whiplash. it all depends on your posture, seating position and where the headrest is.
i was doing approx. 20mph and my back still hurts today, over 6 months after.

Looks nasty hun. Glad you and the kids are ok, no broken bones etc.
I had a small bump a few months back with the gf driving. Technically was her fault as she's not really a good driver but my neck is hurting still to this date. I've not bothered claiming though, was just a little knock.
Take care

John speaks the truth.
Right so that would be in a forces on the occupants POV? because cars have crumple zones whereas brickwalls don't but damage wise, it's a 60mph collision, and it was the damage that was being questioned
It's a 30mph collision, every action has an equal and opposite reaction.
I'm not sure why people are still posting arguing, I wouldn't have posted it then continued to reinforce the fact if the information proving it wasn't easily available on the internet.

Well what d'you know, I was talking shite, although I couldn't make sense of that Mythbusters vid last night so I think tiredness didn't help.
Each vehicle is slowing from 30mph, so it's 30mph's worth of damage for each car. Actually typing that out makes me wonder just what planet I was on last night

From now on I'm going to make a point of counting how many times you mention this bird. Every single post.

Don't feel bad Mike, I didn't know until I had seen Mythbusters
