Mines the Seat Ibiza 1.8 FR next! shud have one before xmas all being well!

Then ill be saving for a house deposit and paying off student loans

I wouldnt say more exclusive as such (as this suggests only a small amout were produced), but i think its more to the fact noboday wants them, and people want the bmw, hency their 'exclusivity'

whats better about the bmw for the price? mondeo does everything the bmw does but better and faster. I know this because i have owned both, st is the best car i have owned to date

You can't compare a ford to a bmw, it just isn't possible.

Against a high spec or M, you are correct Laurie. But an st220 against an e36 316? The badge isn't always the measure of the car.

i think you can quite easily compare an st220 to an E46 3 series? why cant you? what does the bmw have that the ford dont other then the badge? i had far more problems with an E46 bmw then a mondeo. The mondeo was also cheaper, faster, had more options and was cheaper to run

dont really see that as a major selling point on a modern car though
