Your Corsa runs consistant 11+ doesn't it ?
Cpls civic runs consistant 9.8 - 9.9s.
Did you read CPLs civic is 1000bhp or have you spoke to guy him self and asked him? As far as i'm aware it's around 650bhp.

could drive suttons to the shops no dramas. pupose built drag car or a fast road car that also handles the same way it drives up the strip etc. completely different.

I mentioned it after he said ctrs where shite. That civic is considerably faster up a qaurter mile than the fastrst corsa in europe.......
Also i wouldve thought .9 is a huge amount at those speeds

civics are shit though, and cpl's civic has probably had in excess of £50,000 spent on it to make it do 9 second passes, if Chris had that kind of money to splash on his corsa im sure he could make it do 9s too. in fact look at speckys tigra he is very very close to 9 second passes now and not that long ago chris was just as fast as him.

I didnt say it was worth 2 grand once. I said he will only get what hes asking if he breaks it...
Its quite clear im not a fan of the race type cars. Theyre a waste of time for me so the car isnt of value to me. Your into them so it would be of value to you.....
I have no desire to built a qaurter mile car.

This is yet another pointless argument.
The plain and simple fact is every crowd has its monster cars and its followers and its haters.
Jap car lovers don't like Vauxhall's, Vdubs don't like anyone, etc etc. That doesn't mean a 500bhp £7000 Corsa is worth any more or any less than a 500bhp £7000 Golf or a 500bhp Civic. Each scene would say they don't think the other is worth it but the fact is the equipment will all be the same or of a similar spec per bhp. The same fuel lines, fuel pumps, tyres, turbo's, etc.
Every car is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. The car in parts is worth well over the asking price. £/sec this car is worth more than the civic. It's not too hard to work out really.

Havoc - people not been saying through out the thread that suttons corsa has been made for one reason? To race up a qaurter? Now correct me if im wrong but in my lower inyelligence brain that makes it a purpose built race car

its still a road going car. its not been build to just race up a quarter. it came 5th at handling at totb. and corsas dont handle. so coming 5th in a competition surely means its built for more than racing up a drag strip.
