I haven't driven your A4 diesel but I seriously doubt it. I know Corrados are a bit of a joke on here due to a certain user but they are fucking awesome down a country lane.

diesel people can't accept it, why would they, they just paid more for a diesel and the fuel costs more, you'd want to believe its just as good

I'm half joking but my point is, alot of "performance" cars from 80's-90's now feel like they handle shit due to modern advancements in technology.
My audi does handle quite well tho. lol

why will it always handle worse
its not a simple case of replacing a petrol engine with a derv engine thus its heavier and doesnt handle as well.
Suspension changes, steering racks, weight distribution is changed accordingly hence why it should handle any worse than its petrol brother

what do you feel about the castor and camber angles used on the corrado compard to other cars, and the low centre of gravity, also the track correcting rear bushes, think i already mentioned the wide track suspension and shortened wheelbase.
i would say when most car companies make a diesel version they just use high poundage springs, i don't see a steering rack making much different to handling, it just pushes the track rods?

I prefered hooning around in my Ibiza diesel to my A3 Quattro, despite the fact that the A3 should handle better and is petrol. The huge amount of torque is fun in a car that weighs just over a ton.
Another fact for you guys to consider, the top model of the Mk4 Ibiza was the Cupra, available with the 180bhp 1.8T and the 160bhp 1.9TDi engines, the TDi well out sold the petrol 3-4000 compared to around 1000 petrol models for the UK!

well BMW use different racks and even systems for steering depending on engine size and variant

To say I can't spin the wheels at all, even launching it at 5500rpm when its soaking wet, I think Quattro is worth it. Obviously will work even better if you have more power, but its great knowing you can get on to a roundabout quickly without thinking about the wheels spinning up

That just confims that more people have to drive a long way than those that don't, not that its a better car.
