Could be channel list or server doesn't have those channels, bit strange though

I think more channel list, it has some HD channels so must have the HD pack, it was just a random one I picked earlier on to get a test though.

I'm still watching this thread, glad to see it being piss easy to setup and relatively cheap.

Definitely really easy. I'll have to pick a server for the weekend, maybe get another couple of tests first.

Got to the bottom of the he thing. Was the feed I was using, fine on a sky box but not the open box, swapped to another feed and it's fine.

Can anyone explain what's actually going on when you change and watch a channel when using a dodgy box?
I did originally think that on channel change the box queries the server for the encryption key but that doesn't explain the glitchiness whilst watching unless it continuously requests the key?

It does continuously check the key. I'm not sure how often it changes but it's regularly.

Does the key continuously change then? Always wondered why none of the boxes support local caching of the keys.

In 25mins of watching the same channel my box has made 186 ECM requests so it's checking the key about 8 times a minute I guess?

Can someone give me a list on what I need, price and where I get it from?
I need the following:-
Motorised dish
A box so I can record another channel.
I have a hdmi splitter which sends my tivo box upstairs and I can control the box with a app over wifi, so what can I do with this set up do the boxes support that?
Where do I get the codes? from? And is there problems getting these?
With all this can I get HD football(including 3pm kick off), movies, kids cartoons?

You haven't got many options for a multi-tuner boxes hence the cost -
Vu+ Duo @ clone is around £200 original is around £30)
Dreambox 7025 (SD only) @ £160-350 (only managed to find a handful of places that stock them)
Dreambox 8000 HD (HD via DVI connection, no HDMI, supports 4 tuners usually comes with 2x DVB-S2 tuners but you'd need to check before purchase) @ clone is roughly £500 original around £800.
(Tuners for the Dreambox's are around £40-50 each).
There are loads of plugins for Dreambox's, so that would be your better bet if you want remote control via your mobile (would either be an app or web interface); can't say i've seen anything for VU boxes though.
Only had a brief look into motorised dishes but both the Dark Motor and Technomate tm2600 (metal gears rather than plastic, both around £50) motors get recommended. Likewise the Gibertini 1m and TD88 dishes.
As for the cardsharing side of it, there are a number of forums (like cs-kings.biz) that offer providers. Just a case of picking one and setting up the c-line on your box.
And subscription depends on the chosen provider but yes, you could get all those channels.

Correct me if i'm wrong,
so all i need to get myself is a spiderbox or dreambox connect to my original sky dish outside and find myself a server and hook up to a live internet connection...
Can watch full sky movies/sports HD ect for around £15 to £20 a month from a server?
Anyone recommend a really good box?

Pretty much yep! For the price the openbox is okay, only real problem I have is the epg is crap. I'm not so bothered as I'm running it alongside my sky box for the time being. And you can get the full shebang for £10-12ish a month.

So do you need a motorised dish ? I have recent sky dish up but I guess this limits you to certain channels ?? Which ones?

It limits you to pretty much everything you would get on sky uk's full package... A motorised dish just means you can tune into foreign satellites
