Good progress mate
Timing belts are a piece of piss on these engines. I done mine on my XE and it was the 1st one I'd ever done, just lock the cams in place, loosen the tensioner off, and remove the belt and then fit the new one and re tighten tension
I'd recommend replacing the rollers, tensioner and water pump while your at it though.

Cheers Jamie
I'll keep that in mind about the water pump and the belt and rollers, looking at the rollers and the tensioner they do look Farley new and Sean p off here told me its farley new like if not I'll just do the belt and water pump
Can you just buy a dipstick gasket off auto vaux and a inlet gasket ???

Good progress there Kyle,looks good.
Be sure to keep looking on mine and have a look at what i've painted and not painted so you know. Remember with the engine lacquer, needs about 3 coats to make it shiny, put it on thick too.
Keep us updated.
