That can't be right, surely? Lionel Messi has scored twelve hat-tricks for Barcelona
Three this fucking season

at celtic again
Absolutely disgusted. Lennon will walk soon IMO.
Only decent thing about today was going to Pittodrie with my mate to see McGregor flap Fosters shot into the goal. Apart from that, not happy.
he'll look like a bigger cunt if he walks
probably come out with some bullshit that he fears for his family thats why he is leaving

Most Celtic fans would be gratefull if he did I reckon.
Best thing that could happen would be Leicester approach him and we get some sort of compensation.
Who would come here though?

not the point the gap between the top spanish teams and bottom in la liga in terms of quality is huge, compared to the epl, which clearly the top teams are better but its still a lot closer, anything can still happen whoever you play in epl.
take a look at previous la liga winners back to 1985
La Liga
FC Barcelona
FC Barcelona
FC Barcelona
Real Madrid
Real Madrid
FC Barcelona
FC Barcelona
Valencia CF
Real Madrid
Valencia CF
Real Madrid
RC Deportivo de La Coruña
FC Barcelona
FC Barcelona
Real Madrid
Atlético Madrid
Real Madrid
FC Barcelona
FC Barcelona
FC Barcelona
FC Barcelona
Real Madrid
Real Madrid
Real Madrid
Real Madrid
Real Madrid
FC Barcelona
with the exception of valencia there is clearly only two teams in the running
now epl
Chelsea
Manchester Utd
Manchester Utd
Manchester Utd
Chelsea
Chelsea
Arsenal
Manchester Utd
Arsenal
Manchester Utd
Manchester Utd
Manchester Utd
Arsenal
Manchester Utd
Manchester Utd
Blackburn Rovers
Manchester Utd
Manchester Utd
Leeds
Arsenal
Liverpool
Arsenal
Liverpool
Everton
Liverpool
Everton
i could point out runners up which would probably show even more diversity to the epl

with barcelona absolutely destroy them no doubt, but stick him in an epl side and i bet he does no more than any other top epl player
look at him with argentina, doesnt have the same impact
saying that i acknowledge he is a very very good player its just hard to make a judgement to how good (maybe best ever?) when hes playing against such uneven opposition, thats if you are basing his ability on goal count alone

You won't get any arguements from me about La Liga being a 2 horse race, but Messi is possibly the best player ever to have graced the game.
Are you insinuating that he only looks that good because of the team he's in? And he's actually pretty average?

no no definately not pretty average, pretty amazing, but i suspect, i might be wrong but its not unfounded, that his god like status may be elevated by some pretty swung stats that could be generated simply from the league hes in.
some more stats for you
Ronaldos two highest scoring seasons for united were 23, and 42 respectively, even the 42 was considered something pretty special.
Ronaldos two highest scoring seasons for Real were 33, and 53 respectively,
my point is that top players could be simply scoring more goals in the spanish league due to poorer opposition leading to more hype then what they may or may not deserve

ronaldo has also played in 3 seaons for RM, and scored a total of 98 goals, compared to 6 seasons at united of 118, hes only 20 goals behind with half the time played!

I won't argue with that.
Esepcially for Ronaldo as he likes to cheat, it's far easier to get free kicks/Penaties/Cards for opposition in Spain than over here, so gives him far more chances to score from set pieces as well.
Messi dominates in the Champs League as well though, 14 goals last season off the top of my head?

I'm sure Messi would struggle against a team like stoke, but who doesn't?
He'd slot into any top team and rip the PL up. I have no doubt about that.
