Whilst I do understand fans being hacked off they can't get the full season on terrestrial tv, what sky are proposing sounds pretty shit hot tbf.

Be interesting to see if it lives up their billing.

Looks like the presenters have been doing the research from the launch show.

As good as the BBC are I think Sky are going to put on just as good a show. The BBC worked due to the people they had. Some of those people have now moved over so will continue the great work

Decent show that, hoping Webber (the Manc) and the redbull team are inconsisent and not allowed that rear end. Really want to see Mclaren put in a real challenge this season!

Why what are they proposing that is different to what the BBC did?

I'm quit gutted Sky got the rights to it, I enjoyed the BBC's coverage of the races and I'm not too confident that Sky will be as good, and at the same time i imagine the BBC's coverage will suck too now.

At the end of the day it's about money yes sky coverage will be better they have more cash to splash and bernie will give them better coverager for more cash

There was nothing wrong with the bbc's coverage all sessions covered loved the forums shame they haven't got any balls to stand up to bernie.

I would prefer the bbc to have no races than half it's not going to encourage new people to the sport and existing fans want to watch all he races

Why won't it? They have half the FULL races and the other half as (extended) highlights (1 hour I think?).

However it is a massive shame for those like me who won't get the F1 channel without paying extra (and in SD).

EDIT: Sky Sports F1 channel is on the Sky Go (online player);

The link the Dom posted to the RtmpGUI thing now has 3 different versions of Sky F1 listed, one of them is the SD version but was a smooth and conistant stream. Come race day it might be another matter though

For anyone who is interested in how Rubens Barrichello is getting on, early indications show he is quite on the pace during Indycar practise and outpaced both his seasoned team mates

Never been much of a Indycar fan but think i'll try and catch a few races this season. Good to see Rubens doing well though, although i don't think it'll happen it'd be good to see him back in F1.

Remote XML channel list has been disabled, i'm guessing the guy using it got told to take it down. But you can get a SD feed from Buzzin.TV via Vipbox.tv.

Drivers are gonna need some balls to use that - (open) DRS through the corners.

EDIT: Just had a quick browse at their car and they have a rather thick front nose to allow an opening for the air.

Red Bull have a similar opening but further up the car;

Williams have something that looks like a half-hearted attemp;

Interested to see what difference it makes.

There's also rumours (will try and dig out images) of McLaren have something similar with openings on the vertical struts of the nose. Although Mercedes were apparently running/testing their F/W-Duct last season.

Good video showing how the front wing duct might work - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJ9cFis55xM
