Apparently Quimmy has been asked to play twice as much music as Moyles, The talking bollocks and banter was the best bit!

Massive shame he has gone now

Just because they got rid and bringing Grimmy in isn't going to change the demographic listening, its still going to be commuters and not kids like they want.

Complete bullshit move on the BBC's part.

every other morning show drives me insane. I cant stand them on Capital , try too hard to be funny and their voices are very annoying. The banter on chris moyles show was brilliant . I think their ratings will half at least from end of next week after people become sick of grimmy

Is there any way to see the audience figures or do you have to wait till the bbc release them in a few months time ?

i can't say i know anyone who is happy about Grimmy getting the post.

i can't think of anyone who could do the slot justice, but there is a big slot to fill.

Scott Mills i thought was lined up for this but following the swap with Greg before the summer dismissed that.

i like Greg, he doesnt try "too hard" like the rest, but it is just him so there is no banter in the studio like there is with Chris and the team...

i agree that it was the banter and the chat that i loved about Chris's show, others hated it claiming he didnt play enough music...but if you want music play your iPod!

i wont be listening to the R1 breakfast show, what i'll do instead i'm not sure though!

Why are radio 1 targetting kids (for their audience)?

Scott Mills, Greg James, Sara SucksCOX, cotton, Grimmshaw, Moyles, Wiley = ALL A BUNCH OF CUNTS

Moyles was bearable.... but fern cotton is surely a spastic! The 3 guys (mills, grimshaw and greg james) are just pathetic. I feel I HAVE to turn off when they are on.

Zane low is ok - talk too fast and too much at times
Annie Mac -
Vern - ok

I like Vernon Kay, his show on a Saturday is pretty much the only thing I listen to on Radio 1 now but he does play a bit too much dance music for me.

Scott Mills and Fearne Cotton are dreadful though, Fearne is completely devoid of any personality and Mills is just an irritating cunt.

I think Grimmy will do well to last 12 months, it's a pretty hard act to follow and he's not exactly got the support of the listeners it seems.

Scott Mills or Greg James would have been my choice. Maybe neither of them wanted to do it though?

i listen to the radio purely for the variety and randomness of the songs.

love it when a song comes on i haven't heard for years. a bit different to me playing my ipod over and over again or the same old CD.

I have enough on my iPod to keep me entertained. Commercial radio is full of adverts and your never gonna hear a song you haven't heard for years on radio 1

Never liked moyles, tried too hard and was full of himself, but fair play for getting where he is
