It's funny there is a distinct correlation in this thread between the people who never go on track and utter nonsense being spoken.

No diff it has white wheels.

It's a short circuit, look how easily I overtake you, it just means I don't need to wait until you make a mistake to get past you.

Best all round car I've owned is a MCS on coilovers with 215bhp it had power and immense handling

I voted handling.

Nothing worse than feeling like your pulling an endo on the brakes then going round a corner on your elbows.

You are such a moaning donkey Nic.

You like having too much power in a fwd chassis to go up straights as quickly as possible.

Why is that right and wanting to go round corners wrong?

I prefer handling as it doesn't cost you mpg, which is most important these days

Handling or Power or Mpg

The people into power seem to have a corsa, the people into handling don't

i drive a standard 1.6 MX5.....i voted handling!

yes i have always wanted a bit more power but would i compromise the handling?? no way! i love how the car feels and is balanced, and i get more than enough smiles out of it zipping round corners which is feeling i prefer over striaght line speed

i know he has, i'm not doubting he's a very competent driver.

but the power vs handling debate will always be full of opinions and theres no right or wrong on the subject.

as i think john said previously, someone doing on motorway miles and the odd country drive at the weekend just want mostly power, whereas elite track people will obviously want different.
