The air that comes from the turbo gets hot, because it uses the exhaust to compress air. The intercooler cools down the air going into the inlet. Cold air is thicker than hot, so you can fit more in giving more power.
The radiator cools the water in the engine.

You're thinking of charge coolers. They use coolant to cool the air.

so when u put turbo on ur car, u dont need to change ur original coolant radiator then ? i think engine could get hotter quicker than the standed engine !?

That's right. You can get a bigger Radiator. If you are to turbo your car, you'll want to use an intercooler to cool the air going into the engine which in turn will also give you more power.

Well it got it running today.
I spent a bit of time last night fitting the intercooler only to find how I had it, the bumper wouldn't go on :grr: So I spent this morning sorting it out. After than I crack on with the wiring. Once all that was done, I thought sod it fill it up with oil and water and see what happens. I cranked it over with the coilpack unplugged, check for leaks, I plugged it in, it fired up straight away.

Nice one.
Still tempted by a Z'LET C - Looks like a fairly easy DIY conversion too... Hmmmmm.

It isn't too bad, the worst of it was because I wanted a LSD.
I took it out for a little test drive earlier, it goes alright with the standard map
I'm having a bit of trouble selecting 2nd, so that needs looking into, but I'm glad I fitted the diff.

When I got home from work, I thought I'd give the brakes another bleed. Once that was done I went out for a test drive, and another video but it didn't go very well.

It's my own fault, the conpensator was just slide on, so it fell off. Because I had been driving like a penis the down pipe was red hot, I cable tied the tool kit bag on, which fell off after 100m, once my wife came over to give me a jump start, because I had the lights on. :lmao: So I've parked it up, and I'll sort it after work.

I fixed the exhaust on Friday night, which all sorted now.
I didn't do too much today, just tidied up the inside, and cleared out all the bits I've been storing in the boot, rear bench and passenger seat.

Thanks very much for the comments, the only bit I'm not too happy with, are the water hoses all look like bit of a mess.
This engine is such a good fit, it's unreal.
