Better for me. The accuracy of the colours is of less importance than the resolution for me. Of course I would love it if everything was perfect. I also know there will be lots of bits on various phones that will technically be better than others, for me and my usage, the S3 is much better.
I still try to be objective.

Looking at a SGS3 screen is like going back in time to 3GS days, it's not acceptable to be able to see pixels any more.

Don't tend to hold my TV 10 inches from my face so it's OK.

Apart from the partially sighted, majority of users tend to hold their phone a lot further away than 10" - perhaps that's where you going wrong Ash?

Noticed that Orange are showing the LTE 4G version as the same upgrade price on my Orange account now. Thought it would be more than the 3G version? My upgrade is at the end of month so see what happens

Disagree.
Are you trying to justify Samsungs pixelated screen? Trying to argue every point made in every camp makes you worse than a fanboy.

Don't own a Samsung phone, so it doesn't really bother me
And i just thought it was odd that you have to hold your iPhone 5 to your face to use it. Would have thought with it having the 'superior' display you wouldn't need to do that Ash

I literally cannot make out any pixels an inch away from my eyes. Probably basing it on some rubbish res wallpaper or something
infact the 5 has an even lower res screen than the s3 so if anythinig is likely to be more pixellated, probably less likely to suffer visually from it though as it has a small display
(and yes i know the 5 has a marginally greater ppi however its not anything youd ever notice with your own eyes)

Lol @ quote mining, one for Dom.
The difference in PPI must be the difference in being able to see the pixels or not.
You probably won't notice unless you've used a better screen, just like the iPad 2 screen looks fine until you use an iPad 3 for any length of time.

Lumia 920 has a better resolution and PPI than the iPhone 5; clearly the 920 is a more superior display
And thanks for the mention Ash, didn't know you cared

Pixels per inch, how tightly the pixels are packed together, normally higher is better.

I would have thought the ppi would be greater on a smaller screen anyway?
