How can someone who doesnt mod a car effect your 'experience'?
Also there are plenty of people who waste their money on modding cars they have no money left to waste on going out etc. Boring as fuck as well.
Does not going out every week make you boring?

Well for a start i didnt say going out every week makes you boring.
And the use of the et cetera means i refer to other things which involve spending some money.

Im sure his portfolio manager on here has gave him the all clear and advised him he can afford it.

If you don't want to modify or spend money on your car anymore, then sell it and buy something boring, simple.

What a stupid thing to say. I was reading this thread thinking that it couldnt get any worse and then you come in and say even more bullshit! Im pretty sure people can live an exciting life without cars. Just because me, you or most people in here are into cars doesnt mean that there isnt plenty of other things to keep people busy with.

Well im 29 and used to spent every sat and sun working on cars.
Had a kid 6 years ago, bought an Astra , lowered it and put wheels on it and then stopped working on cars.
Got bored in the summer and deciced to buy a micra and turbo it.
No i've proper got the bug back for messing with cars!
I think people do just outgrow cars and working/tuning them. Just need a good project to get you back in gear!

I'm agreeing with you of course there is a life without cars, but in my experience they don't, just moan about how other people spend too much time/money on cars without actually living a half decent life. People who modify cars have a bigger social circle, IMO.

"Modding" for the sake of it is. But if you have a car, and you think it would look better with a couple of changes here and there then I think it's worthwhile. More like customising rather than modifying.
agree with this. I'm 29 and drive a gold yaris! I've lowered and changed the wheels on it. All my mates think i'm a right crank but it's cost me about £150 and looks a lot better imo. There is circumstances behind me owning a yaris as I did share with the girlfriend and she wanted/needed a smaller car, but i imagine most folk would just have left it as is!

Not really plenty telephone engineers earn £40k per year with some overtime. Nurses are on £20k. I did not say he was on that now, I said they will have a joint income like that in a few years
More like the other way around.
My friends BF wirks for BT, doing the same Job you/John will be, down here. He is on less than me Basic, and even his Overtime doesn't bring his pay in line with mine... I'd guess his income is around £30k all in. Plenty for what he does, he doesn't own a Ferrari mind.
My Project Coordinator at works wife is a Nurse, again down here, she has a higher salary and income than him (his is £27.5k)

My old boss earns well over £160k including bonus and he was a real car enthusiast. He had a V8 Vantage but sold it to fund a family. Admittedly his house is worth ~£1m so his mortgage is pretty high.
