You would get a good spec pulsar for 4.5k. Mean looking cars as well and rare.

Just done a search on Autotrader. £4k - £5k, upto 60k miles, 2 doors.

Toyota MR2 VVTi

And then I got bored as all the cars were the same e.g. uninspiring.

Corsa VXR for £4.5k. They've come down if so!

Miss my 182, owned lots of much more expensive, refined cars since but none of them beat the Clio for smiles per mile.

Is that the one with dog leg gear box off Top Gear when they did the fast saloon challenge and Hammonds M3 had been in a nasty smash but moments before they'd been thrashing the Autobahn?

Get a cheap one. Set aside some cash for suspension work and any faults and your laughing. Spares are cheap second hand and plentiful. M3 uses same shell and all parts swap

There's about 12 for sale though and half of those are SE spec

I don't really want a car with 140k on the clock either, unless its special.

Get a diesel BMW E46 and do some timmy mallet tuning on it so its as fast as a BMW M3, which is actually slow.

Decent Corrado Vr6 for £2-3k?

Is a 24v converted one on ebay at the moment, just needs some tidying up, and some mods removed to look decent, has sprayed D90's
