Man City have given pellegrini a target of 5 cups in 5 years. Perhaps they meant 5 managers in 5 years.

Falcao medical at MONACO tomorrow apparently. Poor, poor choice, but then money talks
They're no different to any of the other artificially wealthy clubs. Only difference with them being there's no income tax and he gets to live in Monaco.
[Edited on 27-05-2013 by Hammer]
this guy should be playing for one of the top European teams in the CL, not potentially playing in it in 2014/15 season.
But living in Monaco will be alright

More plaudits for leading them there!
Moutinho, Rodriguez and Falcao is a huge signal of intent days after the season has finished!

Balague says so, we have been quoted €12m and Wenger is believed to be keen if he cna offload Gervinho (possibly to Lyon on loan as part-ex for Gonalons or Clement Grenier :/ )
He won't be the CF answer, but he's better than Gervinho and at potentially £3-4m (net against Gervinho in theory) then its a no brainer. John Cross reporting AVB is keen too so lets see
Seeing us storngly linked with Julio Cesar... a lot of fans (includign myself0 will be furious if we sign him. Good keeper but not the answer, unless he just wants another option vs szcz instead of a proper no.1 like a title chasing team should have

Looks like Lewendowski will be moving to Bayern Munich, surely that can't be good for German football? they've bought their closest rivals 2 best players.
Now their rivals have a fortune in the bank to re-invest in their excellent scouting system.
Dortmund can't afford to compete with Bayern, Lewandowski is on 20k with them.
their nextgen are pretty awesome too. think they will get raped for pisczek, hummels, gotze and lewandowski. poss gundogan and subotic too

Never realised Bayern helped dig Dortmund out the hole they were in, that would go some way to explaining why they have apparent first dibs on their players.
Reus will be next, quality midfielder. I'm gutted we never got to see Gotze in beside him for the final.

€20m loan iirc. its why a lot of german football fans despise dortmunds success
Reus is already top quality - a dortmund youth player who they spent big on to bring back from monchengladbach. think he will stay, along with gundogan those 2 are a formidable attackign duo tbh. if they re-sign Sahin permanently then they will still do well next season.

reportedly close to signing Carvalho, Valdes and di Maria (€25m) too apparently
And they won't be done yet - if they are serious about all this then they need 22 new players as they just got promoted from Ligue 2, so they don't have the moderately decent core that PSG, City and Chelsea did etc. so it's only going to get worse. And even worse, UEFA cant do fuck all about it as they arent in Europe yet...
Falcao is a mug though, 27 and going to Monaco - this is his chance for a proper big move (maybe his last unless they sell him next season to RM) :/
WOuldnt be surpirsed to see a few of City's mercenaries endign up there tbh. Just hope they dont target any of our targets

UEFA wouldn't do anything about it anyway as its a French team.
But doesnt it officially rule them out of Europe for 3 years? Thought the FFP was based over a few years expenditure etc...?

not per se. the FFP runs over a 3 year rolling period, so effectively they can spend all they like now as their spending the last 2 years was probably not so high. depends how much of a loss they m,ade when theyw ere relegated 2 years ago. they want to do all their spedning in one big bang then self sustain in future years apparently
their coefficient will be very low also so they probs wont make CL proper for 2/3 years anyway. as long as PSG keep up their spending then the league will be the same as Portugal in that potentially the only 2 games that matter will be Monaco vs PSG.

Fair enough.
But they're spending a couple hundred million Euros by the look of it this summer, so even with 2 years of 0 expenditure they'll be a million miles away from breaking even.
Their attendances are piss poor so they have barely any income, so if they did make second in Ligue 1 next year then will be interesting to see what UEFA do about it. Which as I said I'd imagine will be nothing.
Suppose it makes sense for them to get themselves in trouble now, while they're just promoted then in a few years they'll be free to be back in Europe

Their stadium holds less than 20k, I'm not sure their attendances will increase much
