This is my main place.

A lot of different stands but not being a member it isn't the cheapest.

Time to look at buying my first batch of cartridges.
Torn between:
Hull Comp X 21gm
Gamebore White Gold 24gm
Only ever used the Comp X before so no idea how they compare to others. Any others that are worth considering? I'm planning on sticking with plastic wadding but I am aware that there might be occasions when a ground doesn't allow plastic and I might need to buy some others for that round.
Would probably buy 500 in the first instance to see how I get on with either cartridge.

You won't tell much difference imo. Why not 28g?

Only been shooting a couple times so I figured the softer loads would help with doubles; rather than having to recover from a thump before going for the second.
Will quickly move on to 'grown up' loads I imagine, certainly before our CS shoot meet as I don't want to be mocked

I really want an auto to go with the OU. Oh, and a cheap SBS like an AYA.
Never shot with either but feel I need one of each type.

Yeah same here. Think I'll get a pump next. Not too bothered about a sxs for the time being.

Pretty much decided on a Browning 525 30". Sadly finances don't add up at the moment so will be May/June time unless some amazing second hand deal comes up before hand!

I quite like the idea of buying through a local gunshop unless there is a mega deal to be found.
I should really wait and get out of debt before buying one. I assume I can rent one from Doveridge when we go?
Maybe we should get a date for a meet up. How does Saturday 4th April work for everyone?

Call them, their web/advertised prices are set by the manufacturer; often they're cheaper if you call or see them.

I'm happy to do a 100 round, if others are as well?
It's likely to be only my 4th/5th time shooting so this will be the benchmark and I should hopefully show some improvement for our Summer/Autumn shoot (assuming we can overcome the North/South language barrier)

Can't do the 4th but don't let that stop you.
Hoping to get a new gun this weekend at the shooting show.
Also looking at some moulded in ear plugs. The spiral ones. Anybody have them?

Didn't have time to get down to Oxford today so went to Ian Coleys
http://www.iancoley.co.uk/
Very nice ground with some seriously challenging targets. I went with the intention of shooting 50, ended up shooting 135 Damn promatic card system!
Turns out that I am terrible. I reckon I had a 25% kill rate today. It's been a while since I shot last and it really showed.
Now the store nearly tempted me because Browing have a £100 cash back offer on the new 525's. I guess if I could get that and get them to throw in a lesson or two it would be a decent package!

Just picked up a beretta 686s in excellent condition for £375, felt like I'd robbed the guy.
