Doesn't look too bad but you can clearly see the differences in paint shades on it

I saw one of these yesterday and assumed someone had just half arsed put the turbo badge there on the boot - turns out that's factory

Yeah I have grown to actually like that badge now

I think I am feeling a bit disheartened with it as I am not sure of the route to go down. Spending money on some bits is fine as its all reversible and easy peasy.

But paint is expensive and you cant sell it on lol.

How is it a money pit? It cost less than a service on my M3

The house is rented I can't paint it but yes the colour is abhorrent. Easy for pizza guys to find tho

Thought I would take an isolated look at the paint. So I had a stab at a front wing with a clay bar;

Difficult to photograph but it was covered in tar. Felt like sand paper..

Clay bar shows you the truth..

Then once I got rid of the sand paper texture I cracked out one of my favourite products

Chucked some SRP over it and buffed off using a microfibre. Results are half decent, it's no show stopper and never will be but scrubs up ok.

Does the autoglym brand make a difference compared to other tar removers?

Ive not tried any others tbh! But this works well, claybar doesn't get the uber stubborn crap off so just a quick dab and it just wipes off.

Are they 18's then? I'm not keen on 6 spokes, not sure why, just find them weird, but they're not too bad.

Lowerng needed badly now.

It looks better than I thought it would also. Was worried colour wouldn't suit the paint but it looks nice.

These are 18"s Ben yes. From the Astra H VXR. In the flesh they look smaller than in the pics.

Think my shocks are ok so have to decide between 50/30mm and 30/30mm eibach kit.

Tyres must have been screwed as it drove so much nicer on the way home. Quieter, more stable, steering was better and it ride better also.

Do you Kyle? Thanks

I'm not sold on the seats. I like the pattern and alcantara. But the seats whilst are "comfortable" they are like the seats in my Z3: Rock hard. Not sumptuous. There is also a teenie bit of play in the drivers seat when accelerating. Literally tiny but I notice it.

Other thing that bugs me is almost all of the seats I have seen with this interior have movable knee support, mines fixed?

Long term plan would be to get some GSi recaros and trim the centres to match this interior. The seats are quite readily available and not expensive no idea how much trimming would be for just centres.
