Sean get a cage in dude!!!

You'll be doing what Kie does, letting gf drive you around everywhere so you don't have to use yours.

Irm either a 1.6 and modding it or an XE,really big decision for me. Don't know that much about them both so it's going to be a learning curve for me.

Also i'll be stripping it out fully and spraying all inside. Can't wait.

Lol, but my gf works when I ride

And yeah this is my first engine conversion too thats why i picked 8v, easiest to learn on spose it depends how much work your wanting to do, with the X16 you wont have to change mounts etc.

And yeah im pretty excited too to put my engine in, but im enjoying all this preparing lol. Can start painting soon.

Engine and cage will finish yours off nicely bud

Yea i know what you mean with the older engines. More space to work on i've heard.

That's one of the main bits i'm looking forward too, preparing it all, painted it and getting new shiny bits added to it. Just like that Shaun did with his.

And thanks mate.

No probs Craig.

Whatever it is, Budget rebuilding it (Properly I should add, Rings, measure the bores, all bearings, seals etc etc etc). Mine will be well documented when I eventually start it.

I might be a cock but I Will answer questions etc.

If it was my car I'd do a 1600 and do a few mods to it, Maybe TB's in future, If you get bored of it then, XE. Don't jump straight to a XE and then get bored quickly.

I get what your getting at Alex.

The 1600 might be better for me as i've only drove a 1.2,Xe might be a big step then if i get bored then what?

LET, Or TB's on XE.

I always think its better to slowly go up engine sizes, Don't get bored of the power then. I got bored of the 1.4 very quickly, Not bored of the 1.6 yet but I'm already planning more power.

We have completely bypassed the 1.8 though, It is a great engine just lacks quick/cheap/easy power gains IMO, although a powerbox'ed etc 1.6 vs a std 1.8, the 1.8 was awesome.

Most likely because they can't be done using off the shelf parts.

I'd do another in a heartbeat.
