Sounds like the same player I was on about last week

Liverpool will win the league this year even if they sign no-one else.
Ronaldo is irreplaceable and his loss will see them alot weaker.
Happy to eat humble pie if I'm wrong.

Im not sure what is funnier, the fact Fergie signed him for United, or these comments...
Manchester United striker Michael Owen has admitted he gets annoyed when he is labelled injury-prone.
Owen admits he picks up the odd knock just like any another footballer, but insists he is not injury prone after featuring regularly in recent seasons.
"There's no doubt I've had injuries in my career. You say that I've been injury-plagued in the last two years, but there are no facts whatsoever in that,"

Im not sure liam. Depends on how Man Utd pick up from losing Ronaldo and who they sign to replace him.
Liverpool had an amazing season last season in the league except from the fact they couldn't beat the smaller teams, especially at home. Their record against the top 4 was amazing, i think it will be hard for them to do that again but you never know.
They certainly have a strong chance but they always seem to blow it against teams they should be beating. Should be an exciting season

Torres's injury and our lack of back up for him was to blame for that IMO.
He scored 21 of his 26 goals at home in his first season, a lot of them against the sort of teams we drew with last season. With him in the team I think we would of won a lot more of them and walked the league.
But he was injured, and we didnt have any decent back up, so its our own fault as those things happen.

If Liverpool signed another world class striker (Villa) I think they would have what it takes to win the league.
They aren't far off, the draws killed them last season.

It looks like Rafa would rather sign a winger than a forward, as doesnt want to break up the Gerrard/Torres partnership.
I dont know if that'll change should Alosno go, pushing Gerrard back and signing another forward player (Eto please), who knows.

Fergie not signing anyone else because the market has gone mad. Which i can understand because everyone's price has gone up millions since real madrid came along with all this borrowed money
He'll be happy with his squad i guess, but then again, can't believe he won't sign anyone else because if someone comes available he will do
Like benitez saying no more big signing's - bullshit
Because they need another striker at least
Fergie may not sign anyone but there is still a chance

You'll probably be seen with it on more times than Owen will do.

Xabi Alonso has told Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez that he wants to quit Anfield and sign for Real Madrid. (Liverpool Echo)

Read up above, said it ages ago.
The article is based on one from Friday (poss Sat) in AS. And considering thats a Madrid paper and no quotes are in the article its a bit iffy.
Although Alonso still hasnt come out and said he is happy to stay so its a bit up in the air - he isnt back until Sunday though so may be more news then.

Yes, because United paying over £25m for an 18yr old wasnt stupid money
£30m+ on Rio, Veron, Berbatov.
£18m+ on youngsters like Nani.
None of that pushed prices up and shows Fergie totally refuses to pay over the odds for players

It's called adding numbers to the squad, mixture of youth and experience. The only dodgy signing if it goes through will be Tudgay but apparently the Weds fans think he is class Can't see him getting in the team tbh.
Tudgay is a useless shit......
Yeah but.......aslong as your 'adding to the squad' it means you'll stay up? nik said it so it must be true Ste you naive badger.

liverpool echo is useless though, almost as bad as the sun
they came out saying steven pienaar wanted to leave everton and that was the day after he'd had an interview saying he wanted to start talks to extend his contract past 2011, they are useless

SSN reporting that Fergie has told a press conference whilst unveiling the 3 signings they have made that they'll not be making anymore signings this summer.
Please let this be true
Would be like the season we signed Larsson on loan and everyone said "How will they cope, no strength in depth!"
Now who won what that year?
Fergie knows if he needs players or not.
I like that Danny Welbeck, think the lad can be one of the best youth products from Utd if he doesn't get above his level in the near future.
