Are you running a heater matrix?
If not how did you plumb in your coolant pipes?

started to try find why the header tank was under so much pressure today
can cover off and checked tourques , all ok, use the sbd ones 63 lb/ft only (using arp lube)
pluga all looking ok
compression test ok, just over 150 all across
thermostat out
opening ok
then let it get up to temp and toped it up, took it out on about 10 mile drive , came back and there was only a few drips of water on the top of header tank, (think they could of been on the underside of the bonnet, but will take it out for a longer drive tomorow, going to rob a snif tester of my mate tomorow and test that , aslo when driving today , temps did as they should do and was no shocking risses like there were yesterday

It's not because it got up to temp, opened the stat and pushed the air out of the system? Also are sure the hoses are on in the correct order? What are the temps like when you're giving it some shit?
I think we all need a 8.3k video.

£260 a set with shims, but sbs does the inverted shims, ive not seen why after nearly 25years shims need to change but i think sbs were circa £300 with the inverted shim

right , woke up this morning and drove corsa to my mates garage and did the sniff test on the header tank, didnt change colour so look good to me, then took corsa for a 30 min drive and then back to lock up , opened bonnet and the coolant had been sprayed everywhere, that much so that there was tiny hole on the bulkhead and it had been sprayed through that and sat in the pass footwell
checked the header tank and it was empty, toped it back to half full and left the cap of, after i came back a hour later i turned it on to get it get back up to temp it managed to get up to 72 deg then it started to overflow, turned it of , sucked half the water back out the header tank and turned it back on , did the sniff test again
and this is the result, bottel of the mix on right and the slight colour change on the left
only thing i can think it could be is headgasket but i would of thought the colour of the mix would of turned more yellow, if i have no more sugestions looks like the head will have to come of tomorow but dont fancy doing that if its not 100% gone as it takes about 6 hours to take of
also little vid, throttle was prob no more that half way to stop wheelspin

Tried changing the header tank cap?
Had a similar prob on my xe'd corsa basically the header tank cap wasnt sealing properly so the coolant was boiling and over flowing. When the header tank was sealed with a new cap it allowed pressure to build in the coolant system so it didnt boil.
Think taking the header tank cap off a hot car and the sudden pressure loss causes the coolant to boil and overflow when the system is sealed it prevents the coolant boiling.
ps that video is hilarious

coolant shouldnt boil if the cap is on/off/leaking
if its boiling over, usually HG
