Simon how did you find FoD?
It seemed like the entire trail was just a means to an end, until I got to the last descent! Lovely section but not worth all the effort to get there

I do quite like FoD, the last section is the most fun like you say. I think you have to take it for what it is. The more natural stuff nearby is a lot more fun in my opinion

This is what we found when we went FoD. We normally do DH but decided to go AM riding. The Verderererer Trail was ok, all that climbing for a good decent. The Red hardly worth doing. We did it all in the minimum time specified and not even that fit
Would love to explore the natural, non man made trails.

Anyone recently had emails from garminsync@gmail.com regarding the interface on strava changing and you need to update some stuff?
I have always ignored them with them having a gmail address , do i actually need to update it?

This is my ride the other day, shows the area we rode before the trail centre, some great runs in the bit by Ellwood.

Video from last weekend at lee quarry. Its a decent place with lots of additional routes that go all over the place.

My GoPro footage sucks. I had the angle too low so it's basically a video of my legs pumping away, handle bars and 1-2ft of trail infront

Went back to gisburn forest today with a load of people had a decent day out. Some of the sections there are pretty decent. Out of nowhere flybikeslee was there, I got a hug.

yeah its pretty good especially if you take the path towards the end and go and do cragg quarry as well.
I've done gisburn forest 2 times now and that's pretty decent as well probably won't be too far for you.

Simon - ever so sorry about the Strava accept unaccept thing.
You added me, but I used to work with a Simon plus exact same surname. Send him a cheeky email saying I didn't realise he was in to MTBing. Tells me he doesn't so I wonder who this other Simon is then un-add. Then put 2 and 2 together about the FoD ride and see your latest rides

It is a good angle for a few seconds snapshot but not the entire ride
Looks like your arms are really stretched though

I'm not so sure that's bike related, perhaps your lifestyle choice....
