You love that wee formation graphic Cosmo
Torres and Keane up front FTW imo, there was no guarantee Villa would score as many as Keane in the Premiership or work as hard for the team.

Im hoping Torres can knock in another 20-25ish this season in the Prem and Babel, Keane and Gerrard all chip in with about 15. Then have the others (Kuyt, Benayoun, Barry/Alonso, Agger, etc.) who can chip in with some too.

I predict Keane will be a super-duper flop

Yeah, I think you'd only be a couple of decent wingers short of 2nd place in the Prem at that rate.....

£18m-£20m is a ridiculous amount of money IMO (granted it fits with the marketplace etc but even so), I just don't see him doing very well... probably be wrong mind, I usually am

We dont play with wingers though, but think we do need to sign a better version of Benayoun (Silva) so we do have the option of 4-4-2 when needed (Babel/Gerrard/Silva as winger options).
Rafa has said a number of times that he sees our width coming from the fullbacks, so that means Dossena/Insua/Aurellio coming good this season, and Degen/Arbeloa/Arbeloa's replacement coming good too.

Consistant scorer in the Prem brings that sort of price tag, and tbh its worth every penny unless he suddenly goes against the past 5yrs of form!

And Valencia have said they'd be willing to sell them.
Personally think you'll see them both move on!

Exactly, when you consider the amount of money splashed on the relatively unproven Bent and that wanker Anelka, 18m is fair by todays standards.

AJ isn't even good at winning pens anymore. Therefore he is useless.

I highly suspect Adebayor (if he stays which seems he will) wont have as good a season.
Here is hoping anyway

Probably not, hence why most fans would happily take £30m for him! Heres hopign he repeats his form
