Keane gone then.
From spurs.co.uk:
"I have already made my opinion clear on the nature of this transaction. I don't regard it as a transfer deal - that is something which happens between two clubs when they both agree to trade - this is very much an enforced sale, for which we have agreed a sum of £19m as compensation plus a potential further £1.3m in additional compensation."

Robbie Keane - £20.3million. What is going on with prices these days.
He's worth £8million max if he's lucky.

How is it not an agreed sale, if you didnt want him to leave then you dont accept an offer
It is expensive, but its no more than the market is at these days. Im more than happy to pay that sort of money for the 15+ goals he'll score in the PL next season and the rest of the play he'll bring with him.

Dossena for Riise
Keane for Crouch
The two main transfers for us so far that both vastly improve the first team

Thought you had Internet Banking for the Liverpool FC Accounts?

Hoping this isnt the end of our dealings yet as still a few players short of a PL winning side IMO.
Outs: Arbeloa, Intandje, Voronin, Pennant. That should bring in approx £15m.
Ins: Rafinha and Silva.

FPMSL at the majority of Spur's fan's messages on SSN, all saying how its not much of a loss, etc. etc.

£8 million quid does not buy you a 1 in 2 Premiership proven striker. In fact it wouldn't even pay his wages for the terms of his contract such is the way of the market.

Im not sure on my feelings when it comes to Arbeloa. He is a good player and would be sad to see him go, but also think he is a possible weak position and if the £6-7m he'd bring in would fund a move for a better player then Id be glad to see him go.

I suppose he doesn't set the world on fire but he did a job for us especially last year when we needed him. Would be nice to get someone with a bit more flair going forward though.

Indded, I certainly wouldnt be unhappy if he stayed, but if he wants to go and it forces us to get someone new in then great.
My worry is if we dont replace him and are left with an ageing Finnan, Degen and Darby.

Nah rafa always builds his squad from the back forward, he will be working on a replacement right now if arbeloa wants out.

Granted 20m is alot but when your put other players price tags into considerations is about right, for example everton are looking to get in the region of 13m for johnson! i fail to see how hes worth that.

Forget the price tag, the player alone is capable of starting in that team, if Liverpool didn't want to pay it, then they wouldn't have, it's their money! They aren't spending any of yours.
Besides the costs of living in the UK have gone up, gas, electric, water, food (especially raw veg), and the price of 6aside leagues aswell, so no wonder teams are asking so much.
