He counts as home grown, i'm not getting excited over it. It's very likely that cavalieri wants 1st team football and we are replacing one foreign bench warmer for an english one.

No, But is a British national now. So gets around the 8 UK player rule.
Anyway you don't have to be british to be classed as home grown, Just have trained at a UK club for 3 years by your 21st birthday.

And Onuaha to sunderland on loan, think that's a good deal too, decent young defender will be given a chance, especially if Anton is off to Italy.

Exactly (other than the English bit before Marc pipes up again).

Makes sense to have someone who is mainly going to warm the bench to be one of the home growns.
