Update 28/12/2011

Today i started cleaning and sanding the bay. Took the lights loom off,alarm horn,battery tray,airbox bracket,radiator bungs and bonnet catch wire so i could get to bits easier. Started of with the bulk head which was a nightmare Cleaned it as much as i could but i'm not that bothered as it'll all be covered anyways.

The chassis arms have been rubbed back and primed. I've decided also i'm going to spray top of the arch linings silver aswell like sparcost3 did with his. Hope you don't mind mate. Looks better imo.

Didn't get round to doing the front cross member as i was freezing my ass off!

Hopefully mate

Just need to wait for Ash now with grinder and get rid of unwanted threads off,little bits from aribox bracket and all rust off cross member. Then he'll weld the plates in.

seen one that has the closure like shauns that has a mount that comes off the inside of the wing to hold it in place

it was on ebay mate from an xe conversion last year don't have a link unfortunately sorry dude!

I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to sort/make something like it though

All i'm doing is changing the timing belt,gaskets and maybe the clutch.

Going to run it standard for now as that's a big enough step from a 1.2.

Booooo! Rattle can sucks ass! Lol. Definitely in the cold too. Get a body shop to do it. For what you would pay for cans and shit, extra £80-100 will be worth it lol.
