Xenons on the Z4 are the best I have had on any car.

Not by any means you can get replacements rather easily I think. Most of the time it's just the ballast that gets water ingress.

Lukemace had that problem with his, so maybe a case of checking them just to make sure?

Ian, had bi-xenons on my focus st which were amazing my hid's do a decent enough job now the headlight aim has fixed itself. I was also driving around with the beam angle dipped to zero, rather than at 2 where it should be.

pushed them up last night and found it much better down rural roads with no lighting.

From BMW, probably not.

But plenty places nowadays do plug and play OEM replacements for pocket money.

I needed a new ballast for my old Polo GTi. Crazy money from VW. Think i got a direct replacement from Xenons Online iirc for less than £20.

Little project for the weekend:

Beetlegav covered his dash with this stuff, so thought i'd copy him.

This vinyl looks to be a lot better quality than the stuff I previously used. It's also glossy, which looks better than the matte stuff.

At least that actually vaguely resembles carbon fibre. Not like that stick back plastic 3M crap

is that for the new series?

Managed to do the bit around the headlight switch, was a bit of a pain really. Tried to get the long bit off around the radio but failed. It felt like the air vent was holding it in.

Airvent? You not taken it out?
There's a clip on the left hand side you need to pull out upwards. It's a twat.

Didn't realise the vent needed to come out the headlight switch bit just popped straight off for me.

Will give that a try tomorrow, cheers.

4screws behind centre vent and stereo.
Remove the passenger side vent, stick your hand in to behind the panel and feel for a clip thing. Kinda _/\_ shaped but upside down to that, pull that out upwards toward the top of the screen. I shimmied it. Becareful not to lose the washer from behind it

I have ///M bumper, msport wheel and zhp gearknob and lowered and no ginger lights

Satnav tech is 10 years old anyway, hence why I didn't bother paying extra. tomtom does a better job according to all the owners screen does look nice though.

I'm just not into gadgets on cars. the simpler, the better in my book.

Dash is done. It looks so much better than brushed aluminium.

Had to get my dad to remove that clip in the end gav he could only get it off after removing the glove box and the bit behind it. Made it a lot easier.

Will get pics as soon as my memory card stops being a twat.

Haha I have the black magic trees because they don't stand out. And I like having stupid amounts off them ... Because it's stupid

The toy car is a genuine bmw z4 model which cost over £20 glad I didn't buy it

Halfords sticky back plastic? Ehhh

Ben I haven't used the Satnav once! It's shit
I don't like the M bumper without the bonnet. Looks wrong IMO

I like the ginge! It's staying but I'm going to laminex the lights so they are slightly darker
I think the lights look too big when there all one big unit with no division in colour

Did wonder why you sold them, you fallen back in love with it?
