This was in Stonehaven and it destroyed the front doors of the cafe seen in the picture...
Cars were moved by the waves.
Some cars were even moved by the driftwood the sea threw up.
A B&B even lost the front of their downstairs.
Was pretty nuts weather.

Jesus. My pic was at portobello beach.
I deliver to that cafe.
I heard on the radio when I was up in Banchory on Monday that Peterhead and Fraserburgh were hammered and that Stonehaven was hit badly as well. I didn't know it was that bad.
Anymore full size pics???

Yeah, it was pretty savage. Thankfully I stay uptown so it didn't effect me.

Here's another...

My intention was to light paint the car, but I totally forgot about the skylights in the roof, so it wasn't dark enough for me to do that. I'll maybe go back some night...

Have you used your Lencarta for these?
The final one has potential but like you said it , I think it will look better with some light painting too.
I had my first crack at portrait photography this weekend. I was really pleased with the outcome of this shot. Only PP'd the eyes with a high pass filter. Canons 50mm f1.8 is unbelievably sharp when you use some flash. I was stunned it came from my camera

I just used my 430EX II for the shots.
That's a good shot. Nice and sharp as you say, but i'd get rid of the dark spots on the left. Did you use a paintbrush to remove some of the background?

Very nice shots Murray! Especially the first two.
The third is a bit "dead" but pretty easily salvageable.
Try using a Curves Adjustment Layer to enhance the midtones a bit and a Selective Color layer to remove some yellow from the blue and cyan colours.
Will make the paint pop a lot more.

I understand what you've done and why, but I was going for a dark and moody shot.
