You can go up and down with the volume keys.
Needs something like Locale for android preferably, that saved me touching anything.

ah i get it now. its another thing john has read elsewhere to slag off the iphone and now added it in here.

I just looked and it takes about 5, maybe 10 if you're slow seconds to turn push email off  DRAMA.

Oh, i thought you had to go multiple menus to switch off the vibrate etc Not really an arseache though pressing the volume button a few times 
Saying that, there's probably a similar Locale app for the iPhone (most likely Jailbreak app though).

If you find one let me know, I've been looking but nothing seems to do it.
It was probably originally something to do with multi-tasking, might still be a problem with Apple's implementation of it actually.

yeah i agree. all that puts me off is a i know 2 people that did it with an iphone 4, both fucked up and cant restore them so the phones are completely fucked now. not worth the risk.
