I'm guessing he has done the same as me and bought two pieces. Both different cuts of vinyl. Bit annoying but nothing you can do.

As Gav said. The vinyl was 1500mm x 300mm. This was the only way I could do it.

The metal underneath is scratched quite badly, so this covers it nicely.

And at someone saying real or nothing, yet has bbs copies on his car

I'm not trying to pass it off as real carbon fibre though. I'm covering up the scratched dash finish underneath, using a vinyl with a pattern that won't show up air bubbles as much as a gloss black vinyl would.

I understand the reasoning, just really dislike fake CF, that's all.

A subtle brushed finish could have worked well alternatively? I'm sure I've seen brushed Stainless effect wrap about...

I did want to get them painted gloss black, but beetlegav suggested not to due to finger print/dust marks.

I may get them done the same colour as the car, but for now I like them. They look near enough the same as the 'carbon fibre leather' that comes on the Z4M.

+1 for real or nothing. But it does look 100x better than that 3M toss. I vote new standard finish panels in grey, or paint them gloss black.

I prefer to spend £10 on fake carbon vinyl to cover some dated looking metal panels. Not for weight saving so I'll save the money instead

A sticker like that must knock £1000 off the value of the car
