there are already a few members of the team that are getting the ball ache because they're not being played
One of them has done linesman twice now and said he can't be arsed with it anymore I told him to just stick with it and show some enthusiasm. The manager will pick up on this and give him his turn when injuries/bans roll around.
Must be hard though

Always ends up like that at our club, start off with about 35/40 players (for 2 teams) coming training then at end of season we barly get 22 cos people get fucked off and leave.
We've started rotating some weeks the ones that dont normally get picked get a game but that annoys the lads who deserve a starting place (basically cos were better) cos they end up losing and undoing all the hard work done. Must be hard for the Manager, but end of day if your not good enough, then your not good enough

Played my first five a side game in almost 3 years today, god i am so unfit.
Play tomorrow, for a team doing pretty good in the league. But due to an injury to both legs only managed 20mins a game so far.
And the bastards fine you for yellow cards now. lol

We lost 3-2
Had a total joke of referee who spoilt what would have been a good game, he was totally useless, kept giving stuff then changing his mind, whoever shouted loudest got the decision and he was running round wearing a baseball hat
I manage to get me sen booked for calling him a clown and that he'd be better of joining the circus than refereeing

lost 2-1
i put through a ball to our striker who got taken down in the box. Penalty. Scored
Had exactly the same happen 2 mins later, ref didn't give it and it was blatant.
After the match he said he didn't want to give two pens in 2 mins We told him to grow some balls.

We lost 1-0 started and played 60 mins. Ran my arse off the whole game. The guy I was playing up front with had an injured knee so I was doing all the running across the other teams back line. played a 4-4-2 and Derek Yeboah was playing left wing but spent half the time further up the pitch than I did. Because of this I found myself taking on responsibility of covering in for him. This bloke tackled me (yes, we were on same team ) when I was running down the wing PMSL. had acres of space, slowed the ball down to see strike partner get in to a good position in box, went to cross , though all of a sudden in a black flash, derek takes the ball, trys to take on a bloke and ball ends up out for a throw in.......madness
when I came off I was dead, manager said it was best he has seen me play for a long time and was really pleased with the effort I put in, hence why he subbed me cos I had not much left in the tank.
A much improved team performance, the goal we conceeded was a bit sloppy, though shit happens. The team we played are top of the league with a record of WWWWDW so we didnt do too badly.
Our captain Ian 'Jailbird' Yates got sent off under quite strange circumstances.was in a tustle for ball, bit of shirt pulling etc, both players start to go to ground though, somehow, manage to grab each other to keep balance, opposition player swings for Ian, misses by miles, and the ref sends them both on. Our bloke for sure deserved a yellow for the shirt pulling but no way a red. He did very well to walk away after being swung at too, something none of us have ever seen him do before He said he thought he had done the right thing as he thought he didnt want to get send off....
All in all. A good game

we won 2-0
I was right wing. Silly really because I'm left footed but I did quite well. Ran my ass off for 90 mins and manager was pleased Had so much space out there it was unbelievable.
Also got a yellow card for throwing the ball away
