back to topic, i would pick ctr. very quick and handle superbly, not to keen on mk4 astra looks compared to it.
my brother has a facelift model in red, 18bhp from an induction kit, turbocharging a ctr for £3.5K would give a standard one 290bhp. no other engine but a VTEC can respond to tuning like that.

Also the CTR must be lighter, i know the bonnet is tiny and weighs very little.

wtf are you talking about, your talking a load of crap, there are plenty of other engines that will respond to tuning like that

Can't believe this thread is still going

Just get what you like its your money

Plus all these mods that people are suggesting for type R etc all totally pointless because he is very unlikely to supercharge it

If you want more torque then the civic then buy a car with more torque

fair point but no vauxhall engine will i.e. mk4 astra gsi, then again you might aswell not bother buying one and saving the money to buy a vxr.
and i was talking about turbo'ing standard cars, not motorsport cars

OMG Sorry, but you are a fcukin idiot! Thats a CLP Racing demo car

If your gonn a go off no money limits, and mod limits...Then dont make me bring out Regals old demo coupe is phase 5, FMIC, Uprated pistons, Manifold and lots more - RR'd @ 323BHP.

I was talking about this chappy who "Realisically" could mod the car. I said you can't just get a 12sec type R without massive money

"We had just fitted our new turbo kit and wanted to try out the 1/4 mile potential of the new setup. After a few runs of getting used to the power delivery we made a run with a time of 12.51 seconds at 121mph. This is certainly the quickest and fastest Civic Type R in the U.K. "

OMG! All your doing is showing me the quickest type R in the UK?????? Whats that gonna proove!?

Plus its 279BHP The Regal 323BHP Astra would piss on it...

You didn't really proove much there did you amigo?? Apart from how sarcartic you can be TBH sons?

where did i ever say anything about being restricted to mods to make a civic faster than a gsi??? i only said that the civic is faster when fetteld with i even played fair by picking a uk civic and none of the jap/us tuner ones ''

you are a faggot and have proved it once more

now dumbass go reread my posts,, ohh and did i find you a 12sec civic? na i found you 2 both on the same link,1 with a turbo and 1 with a supercharger

please get me the regals specs so i can rape it with the us tuners ones

I think the Turbo would be fun on the GSI, the ride is more refined not back braking.. Astra is more tunable...

astra more tunable STFU more tunable for less money maybe,, but im afraid the civics are miles ahead for tunability never heard of a new shape astra runnings 12s yet,,,and if it did im sure it would go bang rather quickly

i went and found my original post just so you wouldnt get confussed this time

now kid where did i mention there had to be any limits on who tuned them or what they had done all i said was never heard of an new shape astra doing 12s yet

now please do something constructive instead of spraffing some pish and find me an astra that runs 12s
