Because there is NO way on earth that they would choose WHU (with the greatest of respect to WHU!) over Arsenal/Man Utd... but then supposedly MSI control the 2 players.. like I say, disgraceful and I hope FIFA getinvolved esp due to WHU's comments that all aspects of the deal are private

My guesses: Chelski wanted them to get exoerience of UK + PL afore makign a Crespo/Veron stylee cock up and the real transfer goes through (ie. MIS to Chelsea!)

Either that, or MSI used their WHU links to get them there to showcase their talents as they feel they did not receive sufficient bids like they probly will in JANUARY!!!

Would be amazed if they last at WHU until 31 Jan!!!

Either way, the ethincal footy questions here need answering and the likes of MSI and Abrahomovic should be banned form footy.. this is not a rich mans plaything

doesnt explain why it was a permanent deal and not a loan deal though!

Like I say, IMO its not... its merely a loan from MSI to WHU... West Ham have paid nothing I guarantee it!! Corinthians have gifted the players to WHU under the guise of MSI and MSI will recoup the lost fee (!!) and more when the real transfers go through... similar to Ronladinho in some ways... he went to PSG wehn all and sundry were after him as a stepping stone!

But I dont think they are any better than the top four with those players, so wont win the Prem, FA or Carling cup! Best to win just £100 on a sensible bet than nothing on wild ones

Although those ones are more fun!

I dont doubt that if MSI havent bought into West Ham it is just a stepping stone to a bigger club (although these were willing to pay up big oney this year anyway).

But it still makes little difference if they were simply loan deals to West Ham. Announcing them as permanent transfers wouldnt make their future sell on fee any larger than if they were loan deals.

Yeah but big money now as ooposed to HUGE money ocne they have UK and Prem experience and guess who will be the only club to afford them

The reaosn they are permanent transfers is that technically they are... 'Corinthians' have 'sold' them to WHU but in reality MSI have loaned them to WHU for free in order to increase value!

New keeper looks promising too. You never know, the addition of these new players might be what the others needed to achieve their full potential. Or you could be right and Tevez and Mascherano might find the rest of the team isn't up to the job!

I seem to remember reading somewhere that Corinthians have been or are owned by Chelsea?? No doubt Kenyon and Abramovitch didnt want them going to United or Arsenal, but dont think of West Ham as a threat I small a rat.

P.S - ive not read the whole thread, so if this has already been mentioned then apoligies

Its illegal for Chelsea to own another club, or Abromavich himself. Its a bit iffy what he does with CSKA Moskow and Chelsea but is somehow getting away with it.

Doesnt mean he isnt controlling things through others though, and probably is.

If SWP is still at Chelsea n the next year / 2 years then lets see how much he improves, especially now Duff has gone.

If he doesn't play much this year then yes I will agree that he was wasted at Chelsea and should of moved to another club or stayed at City.

He is a superb talent and I was gutted that he wasn't at the WC.

End of banter - Back to West Ham & Tevez

you do make me laugh Greg

How do you expect him to improve when he plays 10 or 20 minutes every other game

Feel sorry for the lad

Agreed Dave, if a player goes from 70-90mins of football with Man City to 10-20mins with Chelsea how can he improve? I think you should just let Greg believe what he's saying and concentrate on other posters.

You have twisted what I said, I said in 1 or 2 years he could improve just like Lampard and J Cole did. If he isn't given anymore games soon then he may aswell move on.

he has been there a year and missed out on the WC because of it.

He isnt going to get a decent amount of games, maybe a few in the Carling Cup but thats it. He'd be best moving to even a shitty middle of the table club but he has fucked a huge part of his career up now.
