I mean take the punishment end of, or get a letter from work and uni and also say that within the cirsumtances it was not so bad, i.e not 3pm outside a school and that i am very sorry, although it was my mis-judgement that led me to speed...i dont know tbh, something like that?

i doubt it would work, otherwise no one would get banned as would just all get a letter written for them.

Christ you are a moaning c*nt, you would complain if someone was caught doing 66 in a 30 where theres no buildings what-so-ever, perfect road conditions, no traffic, no people, a dead straight road.

break the speed limit a bit?
66 in 30; more than 100%
that's a bit?
you really have common sense

its 30 for a reason...i.e. its not a perfectly straight road, no buildings what-so-ever, perfect conditions, etc.
so Im not sure what your point is

It wasnt excessive for the conditions, could have done 80+ on that stretch, which would have been really wreckless

The point is that you would still complain about it. There are some roads up here just like that, and they are 30 zones... So gay.

Apologise! Also, make sure you ask the court to take into consideration that it was late at night and the traffic was light, and the weather conditions were good.
If you can think of a good reason why they shouldn't ban you then get that across too. Something like work, or having to drive somewhere to look after a sick relative. Yadda yadda yadda....

at the end of the day we all know the consequences if we get caught, yet we all still run the risk.
cosmo is right in some of the things he is sayin, although he could try bein a bit more tactful, my mate was killed a few months back coz some wanker was doin over a 100mph in a 30 zone, he couldnt control the car and had no time to stop. thats why we have these limits. there are different degree's to how much you can get off with, speeding is speeding but then why would the traffic cops bring the rule of 10% of the limit plus 2mph.
we've all been speeding at times some more than others but if you get caght, take it on the chin and move on.
hope it goes well for you mate

Jst take the points Matt and learn from it
We all make mistakes and if you have a clean license then you may not have as harsh a penalty as somone already convicted
Dont worry, weve all put our foot down at some point
