there would be if he actually broke it, as you said. Unless the pitch was ginger?

Nobody in this game. Scholes went in two footed on someone a little over enthusiastically for a friendly. Comments were made regarding him being a ginger cunt so I pointed out that the last giner cunt to actually break someones legs was at Anfield last year. (although it wasn't his fault to be fair)

not only wasnt it his fault he didnt even touch him, all he did was block his pass/shot from about a foot away and it looked like he did him.

But yes, I was refering to Scholes lunging in two footed on someone, and in the prem he would of been sent off, easy.

It was his shot he blocked. It's only banter clearly I'm not blaming Riise for breaking Smithy's leg.

Im prepared to defend Riise and the internet if needed, Im sure I could stand upto a lot.

Although tonight my hatred has been deflected from Utd and onto Diouf. I honestly would kick his head in if I was by him right now, I would go to the hotel next door if I didnt think he'd be hiding back at home from Fowler, Gerrard and Carra.

He did it because all the L'pool players slagged him off when he left saying he was a shite trainer and just took the piss.

yes, and its worse to think Houlier signed him for £10m off one good game in the WC and could of signed Eto'o instead but decided against it

Houlier has a lot to answer to Liverpool fans for imo. I personally think he's brilliant but I'm sure half on Merseyside may disagree.

no, the majority would agree that he is. But he took the club as far as he could come the 2001 treble (or 5 cup season tbh), and certainly by the next season where he showed that was it. But we stuck by him one (two IMO, but how do you get rid after a treble win) season too long.

but again, the only problem that team had was the lack of an out and out goal scorer to get 25+ a season when Arsenal had Henry and Utd Van Nist. If we'd of had Eto'o I think we'd of won thr league under his management.

I'll be honest I'm no expert on the history of Liverpool. Didn't he sign some nightmares Cisse, Diouf, Traore etc. I may be wrong but with that and selling Fowler?

Traore was with us for 9 years, our longest serving player when he left IIRC. He was a good utility player, as TBH he was a centre back not a LB, but he shouldnt of been there aslong as he was.

Cisse was a good buy at the time, considering he was scoring a lot more than Drogba in France and cost £11m+ less (25m vs 14mil). He just got unlucky with injuries (2 broken legs) and not fitting into the team Rafa wanted. I still think he could be amazing in the Prem.

He made bad signings like Diouf, Diao, Cheyrou, Le Tallec, Pongolle, Diarra, and a load other french players and others too!! He did make some great signings in his time though, Hyypia, Riise, Hamann, Dudek, Henchoz, Babbel, etc. aswell as playing a major major role in making Owen, Carra and Gerrard what they are today.

And Fowler was a great bit of business IMO. Selling someone who was obviously finished for 14m (orr was it 11m?), regardless of his ties to the club.

Still though...
2002-03 League Cup Winners
2001-02 Barclaycard Premiership runners-up
2000-01 UEFA Cup Winners, League Cup Winners, FA Cup Winners, Charity Shield, Super Cup

Not too bad.

TBH it wasnt the best entertainment, there was a lack of showboating for a charity match IMO.
