dont know what was up with the tt or spec etc but my 1.8Tgolf(220bhp) is allot quicker than a 2.0 corsa

racing cars on the roads is such a bad example of comparing whether your car is faster than something.
Il never forget when richy came down with his GTi we had identical cars and pitted them side by side several times, they were dead even, and so they should be, same power etc.
Then when we got out on the roads, on the dual carriageways, if he planted his even half a second before i did he could pass me with ease even though both cars were evenly matched.
You cant compare unless two cars are started at the same time and side by side

Ive drove a 225TT, impreza (was being slated in another equally gay post) & a 2L corsa & the corsa came bottom of the pile in every aspect.

Doubt there rose tinted because i dont even own one.
I was out in his car all last night and we were very close to a UK Turbo 2000 impreza, it found it very hard to pull anything on us at all  .

Don't worry about it mate, they obviously have nothing better to do than type rubbish on your post which started as a funny story (which is TOTALLY Believable may I add). But then just picked it apart for no reason. You were just stating the facts and your mate was only toying with another car in a non dangerous situation. Im sure nearly all who have done an engine conversion have "had a go" at something.... Its part of the fun of it.

I still believe it was a 225 bhp one, my mate said on the way back it was very close.
Those who have worked out power to wieght.
Corsa was about 160 and TT about 175, then you have to add the extra passenger, and transmission, i find it wierd that not many of you believe this at all..
