thanks
i don't really know what to do now.
really want to get an exhaust but trading it in in july so i don't know whether it's worth the effort of chopping the old one off and fitting this one?
got a holiday and possible engagement ring to save for aswell so it's really annoying me

i think i've come to the end of modifying this one
got my old corsa back with me sitting in the garage and i realise how much money i wasted on it. Will be sold soon and i have bigger priorities so i think this will be it for the fiesta.
i'm going to have a go at refurbing the wheels myself, just going to do them silver, and i don't think i will spend any more on it.
i'm getting old, i'm hating spending money when i don't need to now
oh well, save for the new car i guess

I'd leave the wheels in that case - the alloys are pretty much new, so there is no point in messing them up (not saying you will) by doing a DIY refurb. You can bet your bottom dollar they'll be kerbed a couple of days after anyway

just bought a shorter aerial for it as the foot long standard one was annoying me
gave the car a wash at the weekend and tested out my new camera
also, my corsa's nearly ready to be sold after 8 months of it sitting around doing nothing putting it back to standard after the accident but keeping exhaust and tints on it.
just need
- a lower grille for the post 97 bumper
- one new tyre
- glue the drivers side front arch back on
- front discs and pads
then go to VOSA for a check and MOT & tax, then it's done
last but not least, 4 months 'til i get this
but will be in orange (put my front plate on as i think the front grille looks silly without a plate there) and lowered.
can't wait

pink stickers will be cool yeah when i get it i'll show you no probs
and as you said, i'm still unsure about the front too, but after seeing loads in work with the plates on i think they look alright, just takes a bit of getting used to with the big grille and all

Top effort, a really nice little car. Although i am confused as to why you have spent so much money and time on it if you knew you were going to p ex it. They will never give the money for it that you want. Plus they don't like cars that are "messed" with.

yeah i know what you mean mate, but i love modifying cars to what i like the look of. i have a problem
only things that will be staying on when part ex'd are the sideskirts and the colour coded door handles/mirrors/bump strips/boot strip - everything else will be ''unbolted'' so to speak and put back to OE spec.
i know i'll lose money but i do it for the joy and satisfaction i get when looking/driving it and the smile it gives me (and angry times) are priceless
hopefully i'll get a good amount back but i did get a lot of money off so it wouldn't hurt me financially too much if they offered a bad trade in price really
deano - yeah i know, tis massive, can see an upgraded intercooler going in that space , just hope a bird or a child don't get sucked in
graham, the clips that hold the arch on are back (my dad broke it) i'm using some tigerseal to bond it back on, not superglue, should hold better than the actual clips :humbs:
thanks for all the comments

update on the CORSA:
sorted everything out on it, looks and runs perfect, sailed through the MOT only an advisory on changing the front discs in a few thousand miles, but i won't be driving the car at all so new owner will be able to do that.
sent a form off to VOSA about getting an identity check, just to show it isn't a cut 'n' shut or whatever which should be done on 21/03.
now all i need to find is a lower grille for the post 97 bumper as i snapped the old one but can't find one anywhere! so if anyone has one, i'll buy it off you!
FIESTA:
that's it really, fitted my small aerial to the fiesta which messed up the radio signal a bit but i only listen to CD's anyway
and a better comparison pic to show the lowering now the springs have bedded in:
before:
after:

What was wrong with the Corsa? Never seen it when you had it?
New Focus is awfull, but better than the one now. White looks better than orange imo.
Fiesta is looking very smart!!

headgasket went so replaced all these parts:
head gasket set
cylinder head skim
cylinder head bolts
timing chain
tensioner
timing cover gasket
sump gasket
thermostat
water pump
anti freeze
engine oil 10/40 semi syn
oil filter
all came to £651.76 total including VAT.
then about 100 miles (2 weeks) after, a van hit my passenger side and broke the steering rack, dented the wing, door and rear quarter.
insurance wrote if off and i bought it back from them for £50 and have just finished having it professionally repaired
i agree with you on the new focus, i am a bit undecided on it but as i have to have a new ford i would rather have the fastest one i can get (2.5t 220bhp)
thanks for the fiesta comments, makes all the time and money spent on it worthwhile

Shit! Thats something that would happen to me, bad luck is that.
Why do you "have" to have a new Ford? Whats happening with the Fiesta, donate it my way if you want.

i'm on a 3 year privilege scheme with ford.
get a big discount because i'm an employee and in this privilege scheme i get to trade in the car i have for a brand new one. can't have a used one i think they said.
lose a bit of money on depreciation, but not much considering the big discount i get
