the thing is dave, he will have proof of when you paid, and if he can also prove when it went live through sorting out the issues with nominet it may end up costing you more with court proceedings?
if those dates are true, and it was awaiting content from that date, which he never recieved, and you cant prove you sent, you may be better off cutting your losses and just getting the domain sorted and be done with it?
agreed with this, chances are banni has plenty of logs (server/DNS etc) and more dates to shake a stick at. And like strick said, if he is right then you've shot yourself in the foot.
Unless you can equally back up your side of the story (doubt you'll have dns or server logs) then i would cut your loses.

Yeah sure do why? Unfortunately cars are not totally my life anymore, I have a mortgage and like to enjoy myself rather than spending loads of money on a car! Although I am thinking of getting a new 3 Series (diesel) my main problem is I do 600 miles a week usually so cant really run a turbo corsa or that, also would hate to put the mileage up on a gsi or summin.
