Nope just means you can connect the speed input to the ECU if you feel you'ed like to

This file shows the standard corsa wires and what they do:

http://www.dohc.co.uk/temp/corsa/wires.txt

And this is how you need to wire up the Vectra ECU loom to the corsa plug

Corsa Loom -> X18XE1 loom
Thick Red -> 2x Thin Blacks (+12v)
Thick Black -> Thick Black (IGN 12v)
Green -> Green (Revs)
Blue -> Blue (Temp)
Blue Red -> Brown / White (Immo)
Brown / Blue -> Brown / Blue (Immo)
Brown / Yellow -> Brown / Yellow (Diag)

Oh yeah I had a lucky escape! Gave the car a good run (it goes VERY well) but it started developing a nasty tapping noise from the timing case, whipped off the upper over and the belt was slack as hell! Removed the whole belt cover and the tensioner is about to bite the dust!

Will source and fit a new cambelt kit tomorrow.

The loom should have a connector like this on the end:

What year was the Vectra? if its a Y reg or 51 plate you might have the later engine with the electronic throttle.. What colour is the plastic engine cover?
