Thank you, thats my point.
Essien isnt like Masch as he is attacking. He may well sit but he attacks as much as an Alonso, or Carrick would. Easily as much as Ballack would and he isnt a holding midfielder either.

No, i am saying that anderson is not only a holding player, who can happily sit all day and tackle, help the defence, he is much more creative also, and is probably similar to alonso than masch
But still, masch certainly isnt the best in the world in his position, essien is
Essien isnt a holding midfielder thats why.
I wont argue he sits at times, but he attacks also. He is more of a box to box player than Masch is.

I dont get the Hiddink think. Anyone who watched the Scolari Chavski for the first 2-3 months of the season would of been running to the bookies to put a bet on them winning the league.
Lightyears now you really are dillusional
In a race between the three, would be essien by a distance, masch and anderson dead heat

Oh, so because he does his postion well he is a one trick pony?
In that case that shitty Ronaldo is a one trick pony as all he does is score goals. What about that fucking one trick pony Vidic, he just prevents goals. And that mother fucking one trick pony VDA, Im fed up of watching him save shots and do fuck all.
What a lame comment He has a position and a job to do, and he does it well.

You do realise the difference between bait and a debate? No?
You cant go half way through a debate and shout bait.

Yes i understand, but that one line, i threw in to bait you, stop hiding behind the debate and admit you got angry at it and bit like a hungry croc
These debates are just funny, because we are never going to agree

I was angry well before the bait was thrown tbh
Id of bitten on to anything as I was in the zone replying to all I could see.
Nothing changes though.
Essien is a world class player, but IMO isnt a holding player.
Masch is a holding player and world class.
Anderson is, well Im not sure what position Id class him as, but he isnt world class whatever that position is.

I still dispute masch being a world class player, even if anderson isn't

Essien for me is one of them players that just seems to create, sweep, win the ball, change the game, and just basically have a massive impact on Chelsea as soon as he returns, I'd have him over Carrick, Alonso and Anderson anyday, Mascherano (as Cosmo mentioned) is a different player in terms of what he does with the ball and how he tracks his markers, Mascherano tends to keep the ball moving quickly whereas Essien does the same but also holds onto it and dribbles past a couple aswell, so it all depends on the teammates they are playing with as to which player is more effective.
In a team with attackers who run in behind and wingers who hug the touchline, Mascherano would suit, with strikers who hold it up and lay off to oncoming midfielders in a narrow midfielded team, then Essien is the better.
Both together would be the best central midfield on the planet IMO.

Carragher would walk straight into the Utd squad, and into the first team at right back.
I don't even think cosmo could agree with that tbh, wes brown is in a different league to carragher in terms of being a right back
I think you've lost it now mate And Anderson seems to be far more attacking than Mascherano. They do different jobs!

Oh but I do agree that Essien is better than Masch, imo. He is a an epic defensive midfielder.

Anderson is both a holder and a creator, he can just play central midfield in full, I think he is good enough for the Premier League, but I don't think Man Utd will give him the opportunities he needs.

Not really, they can be judged the the england squad, brown gets picked, carragher doesnt, although i'd prefer no united player ever got picked for england
Even cosmo agrees brown is a better RB than carragher

Essien and Masch are both world class midfielders, I rate both of them right at the top at what each does. Anderson has potential, he must have or he wouldn't be a part of the best side in Europe just now.
Mascherano is the lynchpin of a great Argentina side, Essien is just the best at what he does tbh which is about as close to the perfect midfielder as you can get.

He tends to start when fit, but his problem has been injuries, normally when coming back from international duty
But i can see the last part of what you said, it's pretty difficult to start every week for united, much more than other teams
The one thing that i don't understand with him is that why now he is at united, does everytime he shoots it is with the side of his foot, weather he is 5 yards out or 35, when he used to play for porto, and i think it was gremio, he scored a few very good goals by putting his foot through the ball
