Yeah, going more than 100 miles in it was a worry

Its always something drivetrain related, every week I would have a gear linkage pop off, same in the GTI now, gear linkages popping off

And danny, dont spray the wheels black, it suits white brilliantly.

Good job you are spraying it too, I gave it a rough coat of yellow a couple of days before my XSI got written off, rough paintjob to say the least

Yeah I'll be spraying it anyway as the yellow wouldn't contrast very well against the red and white also, did you find that the strut brace caught on the bonnet when you had the 8v? I might have to raise the bonnet a touch at the back.

Bought some gearlinkages in a Group buy on saxperience when i had my saxo resprayed and stuff, They had like locking clips on them - £27.50 delivered aswell, might be worth a look if there's more available...

Driveshafts on them are crap too... lol
Got through a load of those.. Never had to do one on a Corsa.. Not yet anyway!

Used to want some of those Rallye steelies too lol..

One of my mates keeps leaving Deposits on S2 ones, he's lost 2 Deposits to Badgers doing disappearing acts though - Not having enough details from them!

But they're Nice cars - Think the older ones have more character though IMO...

The wheels are cheap as chips brand new anyway, I paid £42 per wheel so buying new is well worth it. I prefer the XSI's to the GTI's too, but then again I prefer older cars in general

lol yeah..

I had a Mk2 Saxo but kinda got bored in the end...

I stuck some billys on it, and it ended up virtually undriveable it was that hard...

But the handling... Well lol

And again, the older ones tended to be a little better and easier to tweek and mess about with... lol

A few parts arrived today, lower strut brace and the induction kit, I won't be fitting that yet though as I'll need to buy new hoses for it. I'll be buying new disks next weekend to as they are a bit fucked noticed when I took the wheels off before. Also, think a gearbox mount might have gone or gear linkages or something as it's clunking into second and also it's vibrating quite loudly at around 30-40 mph when in 4th, no big deal really though.

A quick pic I took at my mates before.

Lower brace is in primer ready to be sprayed when I get the paint on tuesday, I think I'll paint it white aswell, see what it looks like. I took the spare tyre from under the car and cut the holder away as it looks stupid hanging low.

I also got one of these after seeing it on DAZ's 106, really liked it and thought it's a good tribute to the guy

well, semi fail. 106parts shows a pic of 4 centre caps and a price, then a tiny 1 in brackets. So instead of 4 caps turning up I got one also, forced induction kit will be fitted by today, tomorow at the latest. I'm just waiting for a certain welsh inhabitant to turn up with some hoses
