Best to do it while the new box is there, loads easier than doing it if it goes in another 100 mile or whatever, makes sense really.

Exactly, what other plans you got for it?

You stripping it out or anything?

Once I have a daily runner stripped and caged is the plan

Then a set of cams should be enough power vs the weight for a track car.

Guy that was selling the gearbox was trying to sell me a 180bhp engine too but I didnt think I should be spending that kind of money just yet

Is tempting

If something like that engine came up in the future I would be tempted as it was a hell of a spec for the money.

Sound of tb's is AF

Abs shafts will fit a non abs model fine.

Theres 2 different shafts for them, difference is in the taper at the end of the CV. Some are a flat face, some are tapered out (Wheel side of the CV)

Intermediate bearing shafts cost a fair bit more new aswell.

So the ones on my current car will fit the rallye box fine then? as I assume you mean the difference is at the hub end.

If so I assume the motor factors will be able to get me the right ones for my car

Whats an intermediate bearing shaft?

Yup, current shafts are fine.

Its on the long shaft, has a bearing in the middle that sits in a bracket thats bolted to the block, makes the shafts equal length to stop tourqe steer.

I grew to like it

Something appealing about driving a cack car thats actually quite quick and drives like a go cart

May well be something jap in the pipe line though as the saxo will become a toy if all goes to plan

Tb's cams and with your new gearbox will make it a bit of a fast road / track wepon

Youve proberly stated earlier on but what suspension have you got on?

I would of kept my old vts if i had of lowered it...I know i would! they look really good when lowered and handle just as good.

Nearly lost mine due to lift off over stear and a snaking back end lol...but mine was standard height!

mines lowers 35mm on bilstien group n's

Tempted to change it to 50mm for cosmetic reasons but I dont want to lose any of the handling it has at the moment as its spot on imo

EDIT: On that pic mate, the right hand side of the brace...where it bolts to the lower arm is there a piece of metal missing from inside the nut housing?
