don't be a fool will.

if you can't afford it don't get it.

if you want something, earn it.

I thought this but chose not to comment

I think he will argue that techinically he can afford it as he can afford the repayments.

Hes paying the finance though so he can afford it and he is earning it, dont see the problem.

I don't see a problem with it either. I just thought it was a bit of a hypocritacal comment on Bens behalf (Thats if he does had finance. I can't quite remember).

If Will thinks he can afford the loan payments, then fair enough.
If it turns out he can't afford the loan, then I hope he learns from his mistake.

i'm on options, can give the car back or sell it any time i want too.

also have a minimum guaranteed future value so i lose nothing.

it's finance but not in the same way a loan is.

i'm also in a 35k a year job, not like i can't afford the repayments

that sounds big headed, i'm not really, just annoyed when people class things as the same which it is in a sense, but i am not trapped into a 3-5 year agreement and won't have to keep paying for the car after it's gone unlike will_doyle will have to.

Will take me 3 months to save up for the car I want..

Suppose I will have to wait.

For the best tbh your income was too tight to make the repayments.

Save up a few months & then its all paid for!!

In those three months, you might find something nicer/cheaper.

Good things come to those who wait

I cant believe you were going to take a loan out over 5 years to pay for something that is going to take you 3 months to save up for

Still, as already said above it will work out better for you in't long run
