That kid should go the match next week and throw one those beach balls filled with concrete at owen, infact fuck it just throw a normal air filled one at him, i'm sure he'll get injured
Seriously though, I will be less nervous before the manc game than the sunderland one... strange!

I see the United fans have bought up all the beach balls off the offy site.
As funny as they think they are being, I wonder if they realise that they are funding us now

I presume he will be coming on in the 95th minute then as the likely hood of him staying uninjured for more than a few mins is slim to none.

That was blatent and intended to cause further injury to the one he sustained earlier in the game imo, he should get a 3 match ban.

Why shouldn't it stand? That balloon would count as part of the pitch when it's on there, the same as if it hits the referee and goes in, still stands.
Wrong.
The referee is part of the game, so if it hits him then its play on as he is meant to be there, the beach ball shouldn't be there so the game should have been stopped to remove then re-started with a drop ball.
Yeah, heard it on MOTD2 last night that I was wrong, I, like most people was unaware of the rule, but still, match shouldn't, and won't be replayed.

Nah, shoudlnt be replayed tbh. The club and players (even the fans) arent really kicking up too much of a fuss about it.
Its more that the ref should of known the ruling, and for a PL ref not to know it is shocking.

Yeah, I heard Benitez not blaming the ball, as I said before you had 85 mins to get back into it, from what I saw/heard Sunderland could of had more.
And I agree on the ref not knowing the rule as well, is a bit shocking, he can hardly say that neither he, nor the linesman, or 4th official saw anything.
Amazed SSN haven't done a weeks worth of "Ball-gate" just so they can add gate to something else. Seems they're just bitching at there being so few black coaches. Who gives a shit.

Its not the fact we had 85mins, it changed the whole way the game was going to be played as meant Sunderland had a bit more of a cushion and could sit and hit us on the break knowing they had that goal.
Still, we were absolutely shite so got what we deserved.

Interesting stat on SSN earlier. Liverpool have conceded the most goals from set pieces in the Prem. More than Pompey And United haven't conceded from a single one. The game at the weekend should be ace

Yep.
I didnt expect us to get in the top 3 as we did the other week, when I originally said it it was always with me thinking we'd claw the points back towards the end of Nov/start of Dec.
If you win the game in hand and go to 21pts, then thats only 6 a head, its not exactly the biggest gap in the world.
