What did you use to do it? Have some red insulation tape here Might try it with that to see what it looks like

I used proper trim tape of ebay, i think insulation tape is too thick for the gap but you could always trim it down with a stanley i suppose.

And then there was 2,

Reason I got another one is the bodywork was a bit rough on the first one, the new one is very straight with a small ding in the boot just needs a good buffing.

The downside is the interior looked like it hadn't been cleaned or hoovered from new.

So took the manky interior out of Polo 2 and chucked it all in to Polo 1 out of the way,

And with its nice clean interior,

Took me a day in total

Polo 1 is now sitting like this

Just need to get the engine and gearbox out and put it into Polo 2 then its going for scrap

Keep most of the decent parts off polo 1, just incase you smash polo 2.

Swapped petrol tank and exhaust over today, nearly ready for MOT

Sold most parts of Polo 1 now, sitting naked with no glass or nothing hoping to get it away tomorrow all being well.

Getting Polo 2 buffed tomorrow pending on weather, hopefully it looks all shiny

Nah, when I made them I stuffed the inside with paper then masked off the edges and it pulled of some of the chrome , going to do them again but use low tack masking tape instead

Decided I'd 'depo' my headlights again as I let the other ones get scrapped with the old Polo, silly me. Decided I wanted them again so in the oven they went.

Didn't get any pics of the process, just afters.

Also don't know which indicators I like best so put one of each on for comparison. Smoked or ambers?

I think I'm swaying towards the smoked tbh, the only thing that puts me off is the annoying white bit around the edge (Its glue on the inside I think)

If I was to paint around the edge in black then I think I'd be happy with them.

Like so

Got some Polo G40 arch and sill covers on the way as well
