Strikers/forwards win you games, defenders and goalkeepers earn you draws.

Tevez was fantastic, Rooney had no end product, it's not rocket science.

However it's only half time and I'm sure Man Utd will have a different impact at Old Trafford.

Tevez said to Globo.com 4 days after Fergie landed Berbatov, that he was a tad unsure on his future now they signed Berbatov as if Ferguson considered Tevez a key member of the team he would've just signed back up for Tevez and made Tevez the number 9 (not actually No. 9 but I mean the main striker), and I agree with that quite frankly as the signing alone sent out a massive message to Tevez.
Now he's had the run of games he needed, it's all working out for him and I'm glad.

If I was picking a team i'd sooner have Tevez playing that Berba. Tevez offers so much more in terms of an all round game.

But the end products were just a penalty and a very simple goal. It wasn't fantastic.

But.... Tevez = 2 goals. Rooney = 0 goals.

I could of scored both of those goals FFS

Tevez is good, I've always thought he was but 2 unspectacular goals last night seem to have made him almost world class in some peoples eyes?

You tell me what the aim of a game of football is?

When you've answered that, then tell me... is it not the good awareness of Tevez to get into the position to score?

A penalty still has to be put away, it doesn't roll in on it's own, and Tevez has proved consistantly that he's a good penalty taker, good penalty takers then force themselves into the frame in any team to be chosen to take them, I'm not saying he is generally a better player than Rooney, both on their day can be brilliant on their day.

As a striker, I'd sooner create two easy chances and score, rather than create 15 strokes of genius and have so many saved, so many hit the post/bar and so many go wide.

It's a strikers job to score.

You're not looking at the deeper image, as a Corinthians fan I knew what Tevez needed in any team is a good run and understanding in a starting 11 to make him come into form, he's finally got that and is proving me right.

I've always known he was world class since 2004/05 but I can't speak for everyone.

There is no arguements, debates are healthy.

I hope it does go to Villa, O'Neill's hard work needs a reward.

Ofcourse, but Rooney ran City riot. He looked much more dangerous than Tevez, just didn't get the chances like Tevez did and Given was world class.

Do you think Giggs played better attacking football than Rooney?
